How to Judge a Mod app.

    With the mod apps being public and anyone can see/judge them, this is starting to get abused by people going on thread and -1 there app with out a reason why. I'm not quite sure why they do this because it helps improve the app and learn by there mistakes if they judge it. Fair enough you don't want to hurt there feelings or are "tired of judging mod apps today". They should have a reason why you -1'ed their app.
    This is my way of judging an app and it helps me decide if they would be good mod or if I should +1 or -1 it.
    The way I do it, is judging there in-game qualities and there forum     qualities.

    (App) Grammar: _/10
    (App) Size: _/10
    (App) Detail: _/10
    (Overall) Maturity: _/10
    (Overall) Friendliness: _/10
    [server they would like to mod] behaviour: _/10
    [server they would like to mod] activity: _/10
    (How mature there posts are on the forums) Forum behaviour: _/10
    (How active they are on the forums) Forum activity: _/10
    Final Result:

    You could leave a comment beside you score out of ten to explain why you put that.
    This would help out players that are applying for the position why you scored that and how they can improve there app in the future.

    I assume this is in response to the people on rocky's mod app? They are being quite blunt.

    I think it is fine the way it is, at the end of the day, no matter how many -1's it has, it is the Admin's decision that is final. I don't want to have to fill in all of these boxes every time I want to comment on someone's application.

    Some members do this, but sometimes you can just tell that it is a "Bad" application.
    Yes, of course leaving a reason why it is bad or good is the best thing one could do.

    Technically all the people who just -1 every app they see could just put 1 or 0's in the entire format. I like the idea though. For me, I prefer paragraphs, but that is my opinion.

    Mod apps are public for the community to decide if they're good or not, everybody is allowed to express his opinion however they want, nobody does -1 without justifying anymore, the minimum is to put S.N.N. So basically you want us to judge mod applications in a strict way which I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with this thread

    I agree where you are coming from. I am not saying you should do this for every app, just the one's that have had effort put in. Also have you seen how many apps are judged with out a comment? Look at joeymast99 application and see how many -1 with out saying anything. I am not complaining, I am justing saying it would be nice for them to do so.

    They can just put new no -1, but that's so short that I would bang my fingers against a piano
    Now I understand what you mean: you say that people vote without leaving a comment explaining why ? That sucks yeah I agree that you should at least a short message to say why

    I judge with mainly reasons for instant -1.
    This would include:
    Activity
    No poll
    Overuse of emoticons
    Tagging staff

    I'm not bothering with considering people if they have problems with any of that.

    From there I judge maturity and overall how they act on the forums. The grammar mirrors the person's attitude and maturity as well.

    I don't waste the few seconds of typing the reasons why a new member shouldn't be a moderator in his or her poll. So I just say " You know what it is ".

    This judging method is for the app that have had effort put in them. I don't put that chart on every app I see. Just the ones that deserve a reason for your vote.
