How can you miss? It has splash damage 0-O
It's like the most op gun out there besides iso.
Minigun and cbow are the next 2 best guns

 

Mini is my favorite gun for infect and ffa. Cbow is good for some maps. (Mini is better imo)
The raygun shouldn't need to hit directly on. You can shoot people behind walls with it. Remember it is a 2 shot kill in anything besides infect though

 

Whenever I get it in gungame, it always takes me 2-3 deaths to rank up. I don't see what the big fuss is over it.

Ray is so hard to aim, I mean it's so accurate and you move it so quickly it's difficult. It's only really good in inf anyway.

The raygun isnt very good for TDM, CTF and FFA. It is only good on maps for CTF and TDM such as 2fort. The raygun really becomes OP when you use it infect. Make sure you are up high when using it, as aiming down at the zombies with the splash damage of it makes it very OP. Just remember that, and you will be unstoppable for infect.

 

Ray-Gun is most useful in infect because it OSK zombies (excluding the root).

I think you used the gun wrong. With Ray you're not supposed to hit the player, though that can be done if it's a perfect shot, but to shoot the blocks around the target.

In other gamemodes than infect, Ray is 2 shot on full health.

 

Ray isn't too good. I remember without spawn protection some guy fired next to me with Crossbow on TDM, I walked right over it, exploded and I lived. The guy called hacks and he raged xD

 

Aim for the ground.

 

Try using some tactics and strategy.
- don't stand out in the open
- move from room to room carefully
- track angles
- shoot down range from your position
- move fast to attack and then retreat

- Go Evil Overlord....

 

As said above, Ray-Gun is basically only good on infect and its best if you have scavenger with it too.

 

Try using the mini. Just don't use it from far away, its like a typhiod on steriods.

 

Because the spread is insane.
Only if you aim with it it is kinda good (2.0 but that is still bad). But who aims with minigun?

without aim the spread is 3.5 which really is a typhoid (3.6) on steroids.
