Hiding treasure

    Uhm... hey guys, I'm a new survival player, new meaning that I didn't play that much Survival PvP server and I know Raid is similar, anyway I decided to play. I know some basics etc. but there's one problem which searching through titles of guides or some fresh threads on first page here I couldn't find.

    I've got some items I wanted to store. Of course there's no locks that could prevent other players stealing items once they find my chest. So I found an ordinary, inconspicuous terrain where I decided to hide my chest and put /warp there. It wasn't any grass block or stone block. It was something else which I could remove and place without leaving any traces.

    And well, one day I tp to this place and the one block which covered the chest was removed and some of my items the thief considered as valuable were stolen. It has happened in Raid, but it also happened in Survival PvP. Could you tell me how they found it and how I can secure my items?

    Most likely someone using xray which you can't do anything about except report the player. The best way is to either hide your base underground, really high in the sky or hide it somewhere no would expect (a water base perhaps), make sure it's far away from spawn too. (Atleast 1000 blocks away)

    This sounds like a case of x-ray. Contact a member of staff and they can find out if it definitely is x-ray. If it is, it will be rolled back.

    I would say make skybases 6k+.

    Let me guess- you're the guy that hid his base in the desert, and covered it with a sandstone block. Yeah, in the middle of sand. No, that wasn't obvious, not at all.

    What torques me is I dug out the block, fell, and died of fall damage and lost 25 levels. Worse still is your base was 2 dubs with maybe 5 stacks of junk...

    Use better blocks next time.

    I used /support and shared coords of the block that was removed to find my treasure. I guess the hacker will be banned but my stuff won't be back. The most important thing is how to hide the chest that even hacker won't find. Should I put it between bedrocks?


    It's not mine what you're describing.

    I'm not the most experienced raid player, but I'm fairly certain your base should get rolled back if there was an x-rayer. There's not really much you can do to hide things from hackers (you can find a dungeon, make it look like its been raided - so mine the spawner, some of the mossy cobblestone, put torches down) and store stuff there, and hackers using x-ray would not be likely to go there.

    1. Xray protection: Cover your base in lava. Most xrayers will have lava turned on so they don't mine straight into it.
    2. ChestEsp protection: Instead of chests, use dispensers. You may only have the nine storage spaces, but it'll probably be worth it in the long run.
