Hit Detection

    Since Lord_Roe has made a thread asking the community to build Arenas I am anticipatng that the KitPvP server is getting a revamp and is in the process of being made. I was on the Hypixel website when I read this:

    Brawls hit detection is terrible, not just on KitPvP but on all its servers. I don't know what the problem is but its as if when you get a combo on someone it gives favour to the person who is doing the combo making it extremely difficult for the other person to get out of it @UltraPunisher @FrostByte - More than what should happen - if you play PvP servers like Badlion, or even on general servers like Hypixel you will see how different the Hit Detection is.

    Can this new hit detection improvement be added to the new KitBrawl, and indeed to all Brawl servers - It would make PvP much better. I know of course you don't have the code for it, but would you be able to code it? @Mario @Signatured @Totom3

    I think this is a good idea because the amount of times when I get comboes or combo someone for a long amount of time is amazing, the only way to get out of it is by running.

    Definately could help to improve all the servers. I'm tired of running up to people on War and spamming left click only for the hits to not register, then turn and get ray gunned.

    Not sure if blind, but I don't see any difference in hit detections between any servers, nor before and after Hypixel's hit detection update.

    I should probably rectify that unlike what Hypixel claims on their post, hit registering was not made 50 milliseconds faster; each hit is simply registered between 0 and 49.99 milliseconds faster. This is an important distinction because, added to the fact that the Minecraft client also uses a ticking system internally, you will, in most cases, not notice any difference. Server lag, ping and packet losses are mostly responsible for hit detection misses and delays -- not the so-called "tick loop". Until we can get servers running a stable 20 tps it's useless to go into such small optimizations.

    I'm assuming you mean tps not fps. Regardless of whether Hypixel's update actually did anything, Brawls hit detection definitely is not as good as other servers. You personally may not notice it, but ask the people who PvP, and they will tell you what I am.

    The hit detection on brawl is terrible and everyone knows it. Anyone can disagree all they want but it doesn't change the fact that it's true.

    Ye, I know I'm wasting my time. The chances of Brawl actually acting on a suggestion are very minimal.
