Nostalgia

It's been a while.

I logged on after a solid 6 month break from minecraft a day or two ago, so of course I had to come visit this place.

In my outro I explained why I quit Brawl, which I'd rather not get into, but I just wanted to come back and pay my respects in the form of word. Get your feels ready.

Multiplayer Servers. Once credited to having the absolute best community, best servers, and arguably staff in all of minecraft, we've come a long way from those days.

It's funny - I remember coming home from school, a young 12 year old at the time, and coming on MC-War until I got kicked off the computer. I was an insecure kid at the time, and the server made me feel of importance, but that's another story.

Anyways, I can remember days where War would pack 20 servers, each with a unique personality. There was nothing wrong in those days, nothing at all. You'd come on to be greeted by your friends, check the forums to see if your mod application was accepted, and just have... Fun. Sounds a bit different, doesn't it?

Then, suddenly, everything changed. November-December 2014, any veterans will remember. Brawl was getting severely DDoSed, the war community was infected by mini-joeys, and nothing was getting fixed. In all honesty, Brawl would be in a complete opposite place right now if matters were taken care of back then. War alone used to push what, 600 players?

The rest is, well, pretty self explanatory... and sad.

-To the admins, putty in particular: thank you. I don't want to tag you out of respect to your workload, but thank you. I've never complained to anyone more here on brawl, and hopefully you now understand why. While we never had any friendship, I appreciate all that you've done here, it truly impacted my life.

-To anyone I've befriended since 2013: Thank you all. I'm sorry I never told anyone about any of this, but you all did plenty to help me unknowingly, and that means so much more.

If you remember the "glory days", cherish them.

I remember kicking you from AoR like it was yesterday xD. You ended up being one of the best people I've met here, so everything worked out. Good seeing you're still here.

Thanks, it really means a lot. Even though it was a while ago I still get the generic "Sorry" from a lot of people, and to hear something like this for a change is something.
