    My goal to fix the shotguns due to imbalance in MCWar and the unresemblance of CoD shotties. Here are my ideas for each.


    M1014 (Specialty: ROF)
    This shotgun is NOT a pump-action shotgun. Why is it this way on MCWar? I don't know, but I hope to change this.

    Pellets: 8

    Range: I don't really know it's current range, but this weapon should shoot straight for 9 blocks.
    Rate of Fire: A tad bit slower than the current AA-12's ROF. It is semi-auto, after all.
    Pellet Spread: Medium
    Ammo: 4 shots per mag
    Damage: Enough to kill if 6 pellets hit their mark.


    SPAS-12 (Specialty: Range)
    Pellets: 8
    Range: The SPAS-12 should have a high range, higher than the Model.
    Rate of Fire: Perfect!
    Pellet Spread: Medium
    Ammo: 8
    Damage: Enough to kill if 5 pellets hit their mark


    AA-12 (Specialty: ROF (highest of all shotties))
    Pellets: 8
    Range: Tiny. It should shoot straight a max of 5 blocks. This is a strictly CQC weapon.
    Rate of Fire: I can't really describe it, but it should be faster. You can play the CoD sound here: http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/AA-12
    Pellet Spread: High. This is a strictly CQC weapon.
    Ammo: 8-10 (YOU decide)
    Damage: Enough to kill if ALL 8 pellets hit their mark. Again, this is strictly a CQC weapon.

    Model (NOT Moddel) 1887 (Specialty: Power and Ammo)
    Ah. The most powerful shotgun in the game. I have suggested a reasonable way to balance it...

    Pellets: 8
    Range: Lower than the SPAS-12's, higher than M1014.
    Rate of Fire: If current is slower than SPAS-12, then it's good. If not, make it so.
    Pellet Spread: Chuck Norris high. In CoD, I have to use Steady Aim or ADS to get a OSK even at medium range!
    Ammo: Depending on how effective this nerf is, this gun should have from 4-7 shots.
    Damage: Enough to kill if 4 pellets somehow hit their mark.

    SPAZ-24 (Specialty: Range)
    Pellets: 8
    Range: Highest in class
    Rate of Fire: Should be the same as the SPAS-12's
    Pellet Spread: Small-Medium. This thing should be a close range sniper, kind of like BO2's KSG.
    Ammo: 8-10 (YOU decide)
    Damage: Enough to kill if 4 pellets hit their mark.

    Typhoid (Specialty: ROF, Pellets, Overall Damage)
    Pellets: 10
    Range: Short. This gun should be the deadliest shotgun at close-quarter-combat.
    Rate of Fire: The AA-12's current ROF. I plan for this weapon to be semi-automatic and a buffed M1014.
    Pellet Spread: Medium to high.
    Ammo: 6-8 (YOU decide)
    Damage: Enough to kill if 5 pellets hit their mark.

    This is the CoD version of the Typhoid (or HS10, if you prefer), but many people want to keep the current Typhoid and instead see changes to the ammo and reloading. So, instead of my own suggestions, the Typhoid's mag size be increased and/or its reload time decreased.


    Please note that I tried to balance based on damage and range. The ammo supplied is basically up to you guys, depending on how well these changes prove to be.

    You don't "plan" on changing anything lol...since you can't change anything. But I like these ideas you made to make the shotguns a lot better and fun to use.

    Great Idea! Never understood why moddel is better than spas-24 and typhoid...

    I absolutely can not stand shot guns right now. This is the buff they need.

    Precisely! They bear little representation to CoD and are all underpowered.

    Wait wait waaaaaaait... the model a higher ROF then the M1014? That's about the exact same as the AA12... since the ROF on the M1014 is a little slower then the AA12.

    Did I type it in wrong? I stayed up late typing this, so my mind wasn't in the best shape. Let me change anything that's wrong. :smile:

    EDIT: That section is RANGE, not ROF. :wink:

    LOL. Well, at least we got that straightened out. Once I get a bit more support for this, I will contact the authorities.

    These are all great ideas!!! The way I would change typhoid: keep it a 3 round burst, give it more ammo, a slightly faster reload and slightly buff the damage so nobody has to to use stoppingpower to make this weapon good. It IS the last shotty you get, so it should be the best!!!

    I did think about that, but there'd be one problem. As a whole, you'd be wasting ammo, because at point blank, only ONE shot is needed to kill (even less than one, really). And, if you do need to take multiple shots, it has such a high firerate that the overall ROF does sort of match up with the 3-round burst (burst is faster, but the breaks in between even it out).

    However, I really do like your idea. I love how orange made it a 3-round burst, but it seems unneeded and will ruin the gun's performance overall. But, if they want to keep the burst, then your idea will probably be added instead.

    I see what you mean, but if this is implemented, then the typhoid will be a "crowd controll" weapon, what im saying is that my version of typhoid would be really good for taking out groups. The first shot will kill the person who was unfortunate to walk right in front of a you, then anybody behind the person would have to take about 1-2 shots to kill him, but it's a 3 round burst weapon so the person behind the person would die too :3 (basically it can kill 2 people at the same time (3 with stoppingpower) so what do you think???)

    Maybe they could make it a semi auto gun that CAN have up to a 3 round burst if you press and hold the fire button...

    That would be hard to code, I think. I think it'd be best to keep the fire mode constant. So, it all comes down to what the admins and owners think is appropriate.

    Jeez, this is just very interesting. Model isn't the best gun if you know how to use typhoid.

    Thanks for the feedback! But, I still think that the Model is OP for a non-prestige weapon. You think my ideas have a chance?
