    Hello Everyone,

    I just wanted to make a quick thread that might help fix an issue on brawl, the amount of hackers. As many of you know the amount of hackers have increased during the last few weeks ever since Ritzy got demoted RIP. But what if we had a system like M4play? they have a way to ban the alts of the original hackers, this would help with the fact that many of these hackers have huge lists of alts. This could be modified that whenever a player gets on, the server will /alt him and if any of the results are permanently banned, then they get banned again. This would depend on what the original offence was, If they got perm banned for some small reason then they could be given another chance, but like I said, this Idead is aimed towards the hackers that keep coming back with their big alt lists

    Alts are allowed on Brawl up to 3 bans (that were not appealed) across all accounts relating to the same IP address.
    For example: Lets assume you have 4 accounts - Bob, Jim, Tom, Rik - If Bob gets banned, Brawl alls players to use any of the other accounts, so you can continue using Jim, Tom, and Rik. If Jim then gets banned, that means you have 2 bans across your accounts, so you can still use Tom and Rik. If Tom then gets banned, thats 3 bans across all accounts. A staff member will then do /alt on that player, and ban any other accounts listed under the same IP.

    /alt is a command reserved for MOD+

    Hope this makes sense.

    This would be good, and they currently check ips and match them up with banned alts, but the problem with this, as I put into my post earlier, all these people play brawl on VPNs. Really good Idea though!

    Umm... from what I have heard, the only ban that allows alting is ridealong... If you are perm banned for "hacked client", you are not allowed to alt no matter how many times you have or haven't been banned. I mean I really don't know. When I have been banned i just wait out the ban. I am asking a mod tonight on ts about it. But I understand what you are saying Eil. (also the ability to check ips lies with SMod+)

    If your banned for a hacked client, you can use an alt providing you have less than 3 total bans across all accounts connected to your IP (bans that you purchased an unban for count towards the 3. Appealed bans don't).

    OK, didn't know that. Personally I think it should be MOD+. JMODs seem a little under experienced (No offence) to be dealing with alts. What I am saying is I trust SMOD and MODs with alt info, but not too sure about JMODs.

    It's not abusive in any way for JMods to look at players' alts. If we find the alt of a permabanned online, we can report it immediately to higher ups. Although, this actually happening is quite rare, I believe.

    If there's an account that I don't remember seeing online I check it in case it's an alt of a perm banned player.

    As previous staff have mentioned, we have all of these systems including IP bans.

    JMOD+ can do simply alt checks in-game (shows no IPs), but they can't ban them. It's really only to be used if an offending player is coming back after every single discipline on a new account.

    SMOD+ have a full in-depth website lookup, batch bans, and IP ban system. Along with in-game commands.

    We also can prevent unban fees from working by issuing a /permban <name> (instead of /ban).

    At least get a better system because theres too many f*ggots using WizardHax clients for aimbot and the tomato leak to bhop

    More staff that are actively monitoring servers that have an extensive amount of hackers (ex: warz kitbrawl.)

    Get staff that actually get on instead of saying they're busy

    Get staff that actually get on instead of waiting for 3 people to report a hacker instead of just one

    Create an AntiVPN with allowed vpns, like staff vpns and whatnot

    Code a better anticheat or configure NoCheatPlus to block more things

    It's all so simple.

    Who are these WarZ and KitBrawl players I should be giving staff to?

    They are volunteers, I can't make them always be on.

    The in-game report system is heavily mis-used. Staff cannot respond to every single report. Multiples usually catch our attention.

    Myself and most of our staff frequently use all kinds of VPNs. There is no easy way to prevent some and disallow others. We already have IP banning as I said.

    *magically codes a better anticheat*

    Hit me up with a NCP config.

    NCP is horrible. It was what caused those glitch backs whenever you got hit on WarZ before it was removed or fixed. Its not a very good antiCheat plugin, its very glitchy.

    NoCheatPlus isn't horrible if you know how to use it. TheArchon uses it and it blocks almost every single speed type (bhop, vhop, yport, jump, lowhop, vanilla, etc)

    I would but I don't use NCP anymore, as I made my own.
