What if Sheriffs were NPCs?

    I'm not saying they should be. This isn't to be taken seriously. Please don't move this to Server Ideas.
    I can imagine why sheriffs aren't NPCs. They would take a lot of code to write, they would make the server lag, and they would be buggy.

    They would be souped up zombies.

    They would have the name tag "Sheriff".

    They would have Protection III iron armor.

    They would have really high speed buffs in order to get from one place to another. They can't get on/off horses. It would be hilarious seeing them zipping through towns

    They would have high damage buff.

    They would target the nearest person who committed an illegal act for 5 minutes. If no one has committed a crime in the last 5 minutes, then they sit idly.

    Killing one will drop a zombie head worth 2,500g.

    They spawn at sheriff stations.

    They can kill you in towns.

    You can attack them in towns.

    Kek, eZ model camp a door, eZ money farm 24/7 no matter how strong they are, they have no ranged weapon, and no cuffs, won't be hard to kill since they are brainless undead

    Like you said this is do-able, but would be a lot of coding.
    Would be funny to see a zombie shoot a Repeater at me while on horseback though xD

    Oh and since vanilla zombies technically have 'kill aura', I imagine these 'sheriffs' would be pretty OP with their cuffs.

    The entirety of Wild West should just be all fully functional NPCs, and us players just get /gm 3 to watch what happens...

    It would be awesome if someone gets a fully functional bot system for Minecraft and sets up a ton of combat accounts.

    Until they start using clients on them. . .

    Well it'd be much easier to win from sheriffs. Just lock the door and shoot them when they rush :stuck_out_tongue:.
