Although Wild West is a brand new game mode on Brawl, I feel like my knowledge and experience is sufficient for me to become a Trial-JMod.

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. - I have changed my name from RMST1 to DenMik123, and then changed it back to RMST1. Currently, my name is DPV, but I am planning to change it back to RMST1

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? – No, no one does, and no one will ever do.

How old are you? - I'm 14. (Born 2002, April the 26th)

What time zone are you in? - I live in Holland, also known as The Netherlands. My time zone is: CET (Central European Time) (UTC/GMT+2)

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? – Yes, I grew up speaking the Dutch language, and I was also born in Holland. I can speak Dutch fluently.


In addition, I take I English / French / German / Latin and Greek at school.


What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -

Back in 2012, I went to my friend’s house. He went on a single player world, which was a flat world. I immediately loved it! The blocks looked so cool, and he told me that there were infinite possibilities you could do with it. My first version was the 1.1 Beta on the minecraft.net site, which was free. It was a version where there wasn’t any survival and you could only build in creative ( I played it for some time, but the worlds couldn't be saved, and every time I made something “Cool”, it got deleted when I logged off). So my father downloaded an SP Minecraft. It was only playable on Single player and Cracked Servers (Which weren’t high quality servers / members).


After playing the cracked SP Minecraft, I started to play on multiplayer servers. I started with a Dutch Minecraft server, which was an Anti-Grief Survival server where you couldn’t break blocks from another player. As a new player I wanted to have benefits over others. I asked my father to buy me a “Rank”, which would allow me to f ly, have a better shop, get kits and etc.

After that I stopped playing Minecraft for about 5 months so I could focus more on school.

War

After 1 year, I was trying to get on my friend’s server that was hosted with a premium Minecraft account. I couldn’t join, and that evening, my father bought me the real Minecraft, so I could play on his server. This same friend introduced me to this server called Mc-War. Having the possibilities of shooting people was amazing, although my parents did not like it. Mc-War was one of the places where I could play games like Call of Duty, Modern Warfare and etc. I played it for some time, and I realized I had developed some skills. My first EMP showed me that I needed more stuff, as I already had all the in-game guns. My father agreed, and I bought my first donator items: The Ray-Gun and the Crossbow.


After having a break from almost half a year on War because of school, I came back. I was smarter and developed some strategies, and became level 63. I discovered that my $10 guns didn’t have enough ammo, so I bought Scavenger, Mini-gun and Grenades. This gave me benefits over others and allowed me to gain “respect” under the War players. I also won an $8 worth give-away, and I gained c4 and flashbangs.

Not so long ago, I hit level 100+ on War which makes me really happy. I achieved something that not everyone has.


Wild West

On the 12th of March, Brawl released a new game called Wild West. 1-1.5 weeks before the official release, I won a month of Elite on the forums so I was able to test the server. There were lots of bugs and glitches, but I still loved to play it. I became more experienced every hour I played the game and knew almost everything when Wild West released to public.

After the first row of the sheriff applications, I decided I wanted to become a sheriff. I applied and got denied first, but my second application ( link: https://www.brawl.com/threads/55484/ ) got accepted. This gave me a new point of view of Wild West as I had never seen the server from this angle, the legal angle. At first it was difficult for me to decide how to handle in certain situations as some of them weren’t written in the sheriff handbook, but after practicing and playing a lot I finally fully understood how to be a sheriff.

After being sheriff for 5 months, I resigned. The reason for that was the lack of activities a sheriff could do without getting bored.


What is your experience with moderating servers, if any?-

I have served (Real) staff on 2 servers. (In addition, I have served on other servers that didn’t really have many players)

-Snagcraft: This server was a faction server. It had 50+ players online every single day. I played it for 2 weeks, and then heard that there was a thing called “Applying for Staff”. So, I went to their forums and applied for a staff position. I got promoted to ‘Helper’. After 1 week of being active, mature and helpful, I became Moderator, and then Head-Mod. A month later, the owner scheduled an interview and I became Admin. I played on it for 2 months after that, but then the server shut down because it got DDossed. -Eepgames: This was a faction / prison server. It unfortunately didn’t have many players, but it looked like a professional one, with a few coders and a great staff team, which I was happy to be a part of. Here is proof that I was mod on Eepgames:

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status?–

1. I am here, in the staff application section, trying to become a Junior Moderator. Why? I have been on Brawl since I was almost 10 (Now 14). Since then, Brawl and its servers haven’t only given me more fun in Minecraft and life, but also taught me quite a lot of things. At the age of 10, English was a foreign language for me, and the only things I was able to say is “Hello” or “Bye”. I used Minecraft every day, so this is where I spent most of my time. So now I’m coming to the point of why I’m applying. I want to give something back to Brawl it’s community, as it has given me way more than I have given to her. I think that this is my biggest reason to apply.

2. I will, as a Trial-Mod, provide the Wild West community more control. I see myself as an upcoming helpful, mature and active person. I cannot provide the community of Wild West and Brawl much help, on the forums, TS3 and in-game. If I would be able to receive the position, I will take care of the new players and tell them how everything exactly works. If people need any kind of help, I will even try to talk to them on TS3 if we can’t directly solve it in game. I see lots of people flaming in chat, abusing glitches, hacking, advertising and etc. That can be easily be solved if I would be able to receive this position.

3. Maybe this reason isn’t one of the biggest reasons, but I want more experience with Moderating servers. As I have only really moderated 2 good servers, it would be a great experience for me, and I will learn way more than just playing as an “Average Player”. I will learn how to act in different situations and be able to resolve them quickly.

4. Also, a big reason for me to apply is having this Pink name. Not to be egoistic, but as a normal members rule breakers (especially chat) don’t listen to you. You will need to screenshot, upload to Imgur and then report this person. As a Trial-Mod, I can provide the chat and the servers more control. This is exactly the same as in TS3 and the forums. Dealing with rule breakers is much easier when I would be able to receive this position.

Have you ever used a hacked client before?– Yes, I have. I used a client because I couldn't win on a Player vs Player server. I used it for a week, and got banned. I have never used any hack client after that incident. Now I regret using hacks, as it can only get me banned. Though, this accident increased my knowledge of hack clients and I am now able to notice more kind of hacks, which I will get back on later in this application.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why?– Yes, I have indeed been banned on a Dutch Minecraft server. I was playing with some friends on a server called DutchMinecrafters. It was a small server with 20 people on it. But there was a problem: All the builds that were built, were not protected! When my friends and I found out that we could actually grief the server, we grabbed the opportunity and grieved it as planned. We got banned. But after 1 later I apologized on their forums, and they accepted it.

Although they are not perm-bans, I have received 2 minor bans in my Brawl carrier, which I’d like to explain here. The first ban was a 5 minute kick, a very minor punishment. The reason for this kick was me slapping 18kss ( SMOD ) with bread while he was testing gun damage on a ( Temp ) demoted sheriff. The second ban was a 1 hour ban, with the reason of glitch abusing. To be fair, I still haven’t fully agreed with the ban / kick due to the lack of communication. The story behind this was simple. On Wild West ( In case some people don’t know this ), sheriffs spawn in sheriff stations in order to travel around the world to catch train robbers, rogues or to check bases. Out of the 5 sheriff stations on Wild West ( Ellsworth, Harshaw, Shaniko, Amarillo and Frisco ), the station in Frisco is a pvp-zone. The reason for this was to prevent non-ranked sheriffs to enter Frisco, which was, in my opinion, a dumb idea as sheriffs wouldn’t be able to catch robbers or rogues in Frisco without having a rank. So, I’m coming to the point where I will be explaining my ban. Since the creating of Wild West, this pvp-zone has been here. This station has also been camped multiple times, even by our beloved JMod TheMafias. So I decided to do it because I was bored and there were around 6 sheriffs online. I went in the station and stood behind the place where the sheriffs spawned, which I didn’t continue doing after I killed Gehenna_Beam. Me and JokerDoflamingo killed 3 sheriffs after that, when we were outside of the station. We did not camp inside, but outside. Apperently, 18kss told us to stop, but we couldn’t possibly read chat as it was 1. Flooded with people talking 2. We were fighting SoullessAngel_ at that time. 5 seconds after we killed him, we got banned for an hour. The main reason we got banned was mis-communication, as I would never try to dis-obey a staff member on purpose.

Not being banned, but being warned on the forums for Useless Posts, Requesting lock in the thread and a few other things that I didn’t think true. But I have learned from my mistakes, and I have read the forum rules again.

What do you consider your greatest strengths? (Got a few I wanted to mention)–

My work ethic. When I need to make something difficult like an exercise where I need to write a text with enough information, I do it as best as I can. I look from it from all aspects, and ask the people that surround me for help, look on the internet or go to the library to learn more about a specific subject. This will help me think clear when resolving difficult situation as conquering a hacker that uses hacks I am not aware of.

What do you consider your greatest weakness?–

I sometimes act immature. When people kill or annoy me, I can act a little over the line. Though, I have good friends that help me to get my head straight and focus on what important. They tell me to join another server or that I need to stop playing. This help from players/friends keeps turning down my immaturity, and I feel like it’s almost gone. I don’t think this will affect my position as a Jr. Mod

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl?–

In game:

War:

With over 90k kills, 3.5+ kdr and level 100+ I consider myself very active in this section. I try to get online every day and be helpful, instead of taking the game first.

Wild West:

I am currently on the leaderboards and have played Wild West straight for over 1 whole day. (Please keep in mind that the leaderboards were inserted later on in the development of the game)

Forums: With 1.6k posts and 600+ ratings I consider myself very active on the forums, as I get on it every day, trying to be as helpful / funny as I can.

TeamSpeak: I get online almost every day and try to speak to as much people as possible. I mostly go into private channels if there isn’t anyone in the public ones or I just stay in Lobby.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on?– I am most active on Wild West and War, which are currently my 2 favorite servers.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame?-
Monday: 1 hour
Tuesday: 1 hour and a half.
Wednesday: 2 hours, which 1 of them is on the forums if there is something I need to reply to.
Thursday: 2 hours
Friday: 3 hours
Weekends: 3-6 hours in total.

Holidays: Double amount on every day, as long as I have no plans.


What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game?–

My protocol of punishing people that break rules in game:

1. First warning

2. Second warning, I will warn the player to stop, otherwise, there will be consequences.

3. First punishment: With the punishing power I have been granted for that specific moment I will punish this player, which depends on the rule broken.

4. Last punishment: Punish this player right and punish him / her for the time that is needed ( depends on the rule broken ).

5. Report the player to higher staff: If I still get an alert that this player is doing the exact same kind of rule breaking, I will gather around enough proof to report his behavior to a higher staff member for further punishments.

· Spamming: I will use my protocol: Warn this player 2 times to stop spamming, after that a 2 minutes mute. I will punish him +3 minutes every time that he / she breaks the rule again.

· Advertising: First thing first: Make a screenshot of what the player said for proof. Then use the command /prune, because this will clear the chat, so the advertising won’t be noticed by any players. Then mute the player for 60 minutes, so he cannot do it right after the accident, and report him / her to a higher staff member for further punishments.

· Accusing of hacks: Use my protocol: I will warn him 2 times, and after that, I will mute him / her for 5 minutes at first, and every time this player breaks the rule again, I will mute him / her for 3+ minutes. If he / she keeps going, check out the accused player. After the accusing player keeps going and I have come to the limited time I can mute, I will report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Glitching: Use my protocol: Warn the player 2 times while recording / screenshotting this person. After that, kick him for 5 minutes. . I will punish him / her +5 minutes every time that he / she breaks the rule again.

· Hacking: These are the kinds of hacks I know:

· Kill Aura: Try to let the player hit you with kill-aura while recording. Upload to YouTube or Imgur and report the player.

· Spider hacks: Put recording on and try to record the player. Upload to YouTube or Imgur and report the player.

· Speed: Difficult to record, because it’s likely the same as the Speed perk on War. If this speed is too extreme and obvious, record and send to higher staff.

· Xray, Tracers and etc: Also hard to detect with recording. Strange movement behind walls could be proof. Upload to YouTube or Imgur and report the player to a higher staff member.

· Rapidfire (Cbow): Try to see the arrows fire rapidly over and over again. Upload to YouTube or Imgur and report the player to a higher staff member.

· Step: Record and report the player to a higher staff member.

· Auto soup: Keeps putting soup in the hot bar and eats it. Used for KitPvp. Ask a higher staff member to do /invsee or record the player and report him / her to a higher staff member.

· 18+ language: Use my protocol: Warn the player 2 times. Then mute him / her for 5 minutes. I will keep adding 5 minutes if this specific player keeps going. After that, report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Staff disrespect: Use my protocol, 2 warnings and after that, mute the player for 10 minutes. Keep adding 10 minutes if this player keeps doing the same rule breaking, and then report him / her to a higher staff member for further punishment.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums?–

· Swearing: Alerting the player by PM-ing or clicking the Report button to let him know what he has done. If this keeps happening I will contact a Smod+ to judge / warn the player.

· Off-topic posts: I will press the Report button, as it isn’t possible for a Trial-Mod to move threads in other sections. If this keeps happening I will contact a Mod+ to judge / warn the player.

· 18+ content: Immediately removing the post when I see this. Also warning the player with a PM and saying that this is NOT allowed, and that I will report this to higher staff when the user does this again. If this keeps happening I will contact a Smod+ judge / warn the player.

· Wrong section: Clicking report button to alert and request staff to move it. Send the person a message to tell him why it had been moved. If this keeps happening I will contact a Smod+ judge / warn the player.

· Duplicate thread: Lock the thread (Only be able to do in the section I am applying for as a Trial-Mod) and warn the player. If this keeps happening I will contact a Smod+ to judge / warn the player.

· Resolved problem: Reply that the problem is solved and Lock the thread (only in the section I applied for). If this keeps happening I will contact a Smod+ to judge / warn the player.



What would you do if someone would break a rule on teamspeak?-

· Annoying background noise/music: I will tell them to shut down their background. After that I will turn their Push to talk on and I will tell them why. After that move him to the rules channel and mute him for 5 minutes. Keep adding 5 minutes if he / she keeps breaking this rule. After that, report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Advertising/Links: Gather around enough proof and report him / her to a higher staff member.

· 18+ content / profile picture: Warn them twice. After that, move them to a private channel / rules channel until they change it. Stay for 5 minutes. If they don’t, kick for 10 minutes. After that, keep adding 10 minutes. If this player keeps breaking the rule, I will report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Flaming/Swearing: First warn the player. Then move him to the rules channel. I will keep my eye on him and watch if he goes back to the same channel and does exactly the same. After that, I will mute him for 10 minutes. If this keeps happening, I’ll mute him for 20 minutes and, if he/she still keeps going, it will lead to a 30 minutes ban.

· Hopping channels: I will move this player to a private server/the rule channel and tell them what they did wrong. If this player keeps doing this I will move them to the rules channel, and put them in jail for 5 minutes. After that, keep adding 5 minutes until the 30 minutes jail. If this player continues to break this rule, I will kick him for 30 minutes. If this player continues once again, I will kick him for 60 minutes and report him to a higher staff member.

· Trying to sell accounts, ranks or anything else: I will move this player to a private server/the rule channel and tell them what they did wrong. Warn this player twice. After that, kick him / her for 30 minutes. If after the 30 minutes kick this person continues, I will kick him for 60 minutes and report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Player disrespect: Warn the player twice, and then mute him / her for 10 minutes, keep adding 10 minutes if this player continues. After the 60 minute mute, report him / her to a higher staff member.

· Staff disrespect: Warn the player once, and then mute him / her for 10 minutes, and after that I will higher the mute / ban with 10 minutes every time this player breaks the same rule.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue?I’ll need to know what glitch is so it isn’t just someone that’s spreading a rumor, and who is using it. I am the only staff online, so at this moment, I’m the one that calls the shots. Tell everyone that exploiting the glitch is punishable, and that hack / glitch-usating is also not appreciated. I will tell them to use the /chatreport or the /report command. Every rule breaker will be first of all warned, after they keep going I will kick/ban ( 1 hour max )/mute them. I’ll call higher staff, going on TS3, Skype, Forums or Slack and try to warn as many staff members as I can, and until then, I will keep the server from chaos, and keep my recording on so the higher staff (Smods/Admins) know what the problem is and so rule breakers will later on be banned. I will try to keep the rumors of the glitch from spreading, so that it won’t be an even bigger problem when everyone joins the server. After another staff member comes online to help me with the problem, we will try to fix it with more Smods/Admins.
How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past?– This is my 4th application. During the time since my last application has been denied, I have studied/learned from my last application, and worked diligently to improve my application.


What is the date of the last application you submitted?–I have submitted my last application on the 12th of June, 2016.

Do you have a working microphone?- Yes, I have a good headset with a working microphone.
Are you able to record and upload videos?- I am able to record videos / post screenshots and upload them.
I have an old version of Ezvid, and it works very well for me.
I also have a channel, which I am using for almost 2 years, so I know how the YouTube stuff works with uploading.


Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work?–

In game commands:

· /kick: Kicks players, can go up to 60 minutes.

· /mute: Mutes players, can go up to an hour.

· /unmute: Unmutes a player.

· /fp map_gamemode: Changes map (In MC-WAR) and is only for bug testing or when there is a map glitch

· /prune: Clears the chat if there are any rules broken related to chat, such as advertising.

TS3 commands:

· Kick from room and server, ban (1 hour max).

· Groups commands:

o Mute, chat muted.

o push-to-talk, so people won’t be able to have annoying background music

Jailed (punishment)

Forums permission: Be able to lock posts in the Mc-War section.


Anything else we should know about you?–

I love to make jokes! I have many, many jokes saved in my head. This can be used to amuse players in game, on the forums and on TS3. This would make the community more fun if more people do this. Also, it seems like my humor is appreciated ( most of the times ) and that my jokes entertain other players.
