So, you're saying its unbalanced because sheriffs will call back-up and outnumber you? The way I see it, this is just an issue with a game where there can be teams - you could be fighting a big team of bandits, and they'd call for back-up when they die and you get outnumbered (although this is rare, due to the CLAP monopoly that's going on at the moment).

The best way to counter that is to run, its not an issue with sheriffs specifically, just an issue with teams. Its a legitimate strategy - you either get out with what you have so far, or you risk staying - losing everything or getting out with more processed drugs. However, from my limited experience as a bandit, it often isn't easy to run due to how long it takes the horses to arrive at drug bases.

If the time it took for horses to arrive were shortened (either by just reducing it completely or adding stables closer to rebel bases), or the time it takes for sheriffs to get to the rebel base (making them wait 20 seconds to get from the sheriff HQ to a town HQ), it would probably make running away lot easier. This means the sheriffs stop players from processing, and the bandits don't lose anything they've processed (just aren't able to process as much as they'd like). Sheriffs are still an inconvenience to bandits doing illegal things, just not quite as much.

Well, you're the one who wanted to defend regular players from sheriffs. Looks like you bit off more than you can chew bud.

Nice idea, but imo it would be sooo broken. You could switch off and on between Sheriff and Bandit mode as you said. You could clear a processing area with Sheriff stuff, then switch to Bandit. Even with a cooldown that would be op.

Whenever I see an overwhelming amount of sheriffs on, I will either log out and go play another server on Brawl, or I would either go to an indian camp or go mining.

Sheriffs should make it known to everyone when they are going off-duty.

Perhaps the handbook should tell us to /tag normal if we are going off-duty or AFK.

Normal rank players, like you, can't switch tags.

Then give a sheriff rank that has nothing different with the normal rank but that's higher in the jerarchy so you can tag to normal.

If we /tag normal, we lose our sheriff tag. I just tried it.

I applied for sheriff with my main intent to be getting in more fights, and PvPing more. (I like fighting), but lately with all these changes, lots of veteran bandits and sheriffs are resigning, and their play-time is decreasing. I have only been in one big fight so far as a sheriff. CLAP used to beg for more sheriffs to come online, but now they are constantly complaining about the quantity of sheriffs.

Us sheriffs have to play respectively, and not gang up on bandits too hard. Also cuffing in gun fights is a big no. I don't want my job on Wild West to be just cuffing new players trying to process tobacco, or robbing the train. I want gunfights. I try to return loot when I get it (diamond set and potions), and other sheriffs should do this as well, so we can continue to fight in the future.

I really like the Wild West community, we are all (mostly) friendly, lighthearted people, and we can see this by the amount of J-Mods that have come from the Wild West community. Wild West is a very two-sided community, sheriffs and bandits often have VERY different opinions, but let's try to all be a little more understanding. Let's restore Wild West to how it used to be with good fun fights.
