If you act like a drunkard when you're high and you stumble around public and act like an idiot then I have a problem with you
If you use it responsibly without harming others then I don't care either way.

I mean, if you want to smoke weed that's fine. If you want to smoke cigarettes that's fine. If you want to vape **** that smells bad, be my guest.

If you want to do any of these things in a public space, that's when you cross a line. You have no right to take up someone else's goddamn air.

Sure... I'll be the first to answer your question. I've smoked non so far, mainly because I live in a small town where we can't get such illegal-ness in our town. I leave this small town to a legitimate city, only to be criticized on how I'm so late on the trends. Hard af life. ik ik. Also could be the reason that I'm 14.

 

Totally agree. People are fearful of change, and this truism is prevalent in racism, this, etc. etc. etc.
So do I smoke weed? No, it's just not my character.

I mean, you could watch pornography that's weird and very kinky. It hurts even less people than weed because it literally has no effect on anyone's health or safety.
But if you watch it in a public space, your porn has become someone else's problem.

Cigarettes are slowly being pushed out of the general public's spaces. This is a good thing. We should not go the other way with weed.

 

Doesn't matter. You're doing something in public that can and does affect and annoy the people around you.

Again, if you smoke in your own house, whether it be weed or a cigarette or a crackpot or vapour, alone or with a buddy, or whatever, I don't care at all. More power to ya', you do you, yadda yadda. But the second you want to expose the fumes/smoke/vapour to others around you in a public space, you're being a dick.

 

I believe it'd be fine if there were strict guidelines. I'm personally not a fan of how alcohol is handled and I believe weed would get extremely out of hand as well. There's factors such as mechanical impairment, smoking/eating it before work, social influences, possible linkage to other drugs, and so forth. I'm already having family issues with someone who's struggling financially but yet they're always as high as a kite.

Just because cigarettes are bad doesn't automatically mean that weed is ok, though.
So can I just ask, though, do you like it when people smoke next to you in a public space? When you have to breathe that smoke in, or sit next to someone who smells like they chainsmoke?

Because to the normal person, weed are the same as cigarettes. It doesn't matter if it's legal, it doesn't matter if it's medicinal; one person's entitlement to something should not take away the entitlement of others.

 

I basically agree with @BAWSS5 . I have no problem with people smoking or drinking even. What I do have a problem with, however, is when they do it around me with no thoughts about how I would think about that action. If they want to smoke and smell up their house, their clothes, etc. that's fine. But don't go out in public and smoke right next to me so I smell it as well. There have been multiple occasions where I will be out and someone will be smoking by me and when I get home later I have my parents wondering why I've been smoking myself. That's not cool. I should not have to move from a public location just because someone wants to stink up the air around them in a public area.
