The War Story​

The greatest conflict our world has seen​

Introduction​

In the beginning, the people in the world lived as one race under the stars. The Northern Kingdom was called Begurth. The Southern Kingdom was called Nomas. The two kingdoms were separated by the alps. The kingdoms both live in the Lowlands, where there are little rivers, and beautiful green meadows. The white mountains add to the spectacular surroundings of that land.

One year, the two peoples had a meeting. They were to discuss the ancient history of the two peoples. By the end of the meeting, they had discovered by molding both of the nations’ histories, that the Beguthians and Nomasians had used to live as one people. They were torn apart by a powerful weapon that was created. The one people were divided by taking stands on what they believed should be done about that weapon. They ended up burying the weapon in the middle of the alps, and the people known now as the Begurthians, fled North and settled there, where they still are.

The two peoples, now that they had figured out their past, opposed one another. The Nomasians left to go South, but with a fire in their spirit. The Begurthians were optimistic that they would be preparing for War, to retrieve this powerful object, hidden in the middle of the mountains.

Chapter 1​

The Important Meeting​

[POV. Begurthians]​

The kingdom of Begurth was not in the alps, but was in the high hills on the other side. The land they lived in was surrounded by green meadows, little rivers, and deep forests. To the south, were the alps. At midday, the whole land was in shadow. The people spread out the vast land that they owned.

Now the king of the Begurthians called a meeting. He called in all the greatest warriors from the kingdom. Seven people he called with urgency. The king’s name was Chuck. He was a wise king, and led his people through deep and dark times. The king lived in a castle in the center of the Northern Kingdom. He called them in the morning of October 15th, the year 875AD.

The seven people he called came in throughout the day. The first to arrive was a man called Mason. He rode in on a pig, which he was leading with a carrot. He fell off his pig into the mud, “good morning my sir king!” The king looked at him a chuckled, “Welcome to the palace. This way please.” Mason nodded, and fell of his pig. He quickly got up and scurried after the king. A few minutes later, the second soldier strode in through the gate. “My king!” He quickly jumped off his horse and bowed, “to what do I owe this pleasure?” The king smiled. He picked these seven men for a reason. “I need your help.” He led Nate through a doorway where Nate and Mason exchanged words of greeting.

Before the sun was at its peak, the third elite team member came through the gate. The king exclaimed, “Shark! We meet again old friend. Thank you for coming.” “It is indeed my pleasure, sir,” he responded, “I’m ready to do whatever you ask of me.” The king also led this man through the doorway to the table the other two soldiers were at. “We are awaiting four more members. Let’s hope they make it here by nightfall,” the king said. As he said that, the fourth, fifth, and sixth members walked in. The first one exclaimed, “My king, what are we here for? Why is this so urgent?” the king replied, “You will know soon enough,” he looked at the three who arrived first, “In case you haven’t met these three, they are Online, Tortilla, and Juhaszi. They, along with you three, are some of my most trusted servants. Why don’t you all get acquainted, while I wait outside for our last guest?” They all nodded, and started chatting. The king strode outside. He waited all afternoon on the doorstep waiting for the last member. The birds sang, and the wind ruffled the leaves. The king was about to doze off when he heard hard breathing. His last soldier had finally arrived. “Sorry I am late good sir,” the man exclaimed, “I was stopped by two guards at the outer gate. They thought I was an imposter.” The king laughed, “Ha! Well you do look a little scary for those young guards out there. I don’t blame them. Welcome to Begurth Hall, Dasky. I’m thankful that you could make it.”

As the sun set, the meeting began. “I have called you all here for a sole purpose,” the king began, “Our brother country is going to retrieve this powerful weapon, and we can’t let them have it. I have a hunch they will be there before the start of the next month.”

Shark said, “When do we leave?”

“We should leave by tomorrow morning at dawn. The journey won’t be easy. It’s fifty miles to the center of the alps. It doesn’t help that it’s the beginning of Winter.” The king responded.

Dasky spoke up, “If we do get the weapon, what then? What will we, or they, accomplish by achieving this all powerful weapon?”

The king replied, rather hesitantly, “I’m not sure to be honest. We just can’t let them get it. I don’t trust their leader. He could use it for bad purposes. Our lives are safer if we retrieve this weapon, and not leave it in the hands of the Nomasians.”

“I agree with Chuck,” Juhaszi said, “We are way better off if we get this weapon.”

“So what if we do,” Dasky said, “What if we get this weapon, and bring it home. What then?”

Chuck replied, “I haven’t thought that far yet. I just wanted to-“

“I say we bring it back and destroy it. A weapon, as powerful as it’s said to be, doesn’t need to exist in this world, and it’s better off for the world if it’s destroyed.” Mason blurted out.

The council agreed. If they could retrieve this item, they would destroy it. That is, they all agreed except Nate. He wanted it to make a jetpack.

Chuck stood up, “Okay everyone, I will lead you to your chambers. We leave at Dawn.”

They followed the king down the stairs, where they rested for the night.

I felt like the story would be better if I did that. Tagging people in the middle of the story is just weird

Sure. The main reason I didn't was because the line of tags would be as long as the story xD
