New Protocol: Continuous Rule Violations

    Any rule violation. That's what this protocol was invented for: Players frequently breaking minor rules.

    As stated in the OP:
    "This means anyone who has 40 or more punishments and violates the rules again once the protocol is in effect will be banned."

    That's why you need to violate the rules again after the protocol came into effect.

    Better late than never.

    This protocol aims at creating a cap of rule violations where we just go straight to a very harsh punishment. We will still attempt to give constantly increasing punishments after a few rule violations.

    After 40 punishments you should know what not to do. If you believe staff members are being too strict or not following the protocol, please contact @Canoodle.

    As stated in the OP:
    "False and duplicate punishments, punishments which were lifted because of a purchase, automatic bans and CTF match kicks do not count."

    OK, follow up question: If a player (with 40+ legit punishments) is seen to have changed lately and become more mature, and they got punished for something small, would the result still be a permanent ban?

    Half the time, I'm not even warned, even if it is a minor chat rule or I accidentally say "HI EVERYONE" in caps...

    If you aren't warned it is probably because of /chatreport
    Minor chat violations also count. True, its minor, but it is still breaking the rules.
    Edit: Also, if you say "HI EVERYONE" you won't get muted. It is only one line of spam.

    Yes. As said, this rules is aimed at notorious rule breakers no matter which rule. 40 chances should be by far enough.

    I like this update, but it would have been even better if it worked in the same way as warnings on the forums. It would perhaps be a bit difficult to implement though.

    ^ that is ofc just my opinion.

    On the forums you usually get a final warning after 10 warnings, in-game you get 40 punishments / warnings.

    I'm talking about ingame, I'll say "HI EVERYONE" or something accidentally in caps and be instantly muted when a staff member is on.

    The 40 doesn't even count the actual warnings mods give in-game
    Nah, the "instant mutes" are from chatreport punishments from a rule you'd broken earlier.

    Basically: follow the rules even when a mod isn't there.

    I have one kick @SpeedBreaker gave me over a year ago. I think I'm good :>
    Of course Brawl staff never really liked me, so I'll probably get perm banned anyhow

    Speedy gave me that kick because I got shot Out Of Map in war, I was in a TS3 chat with him, and I asked him to kick me
