Is it just me or are /reports ignored a lot..? because why is that when a hacker logs onto kitpvp and is using kill aura or forcefield or EVEN flying does not get banned? just now, someone was on kitpvp (named mma256) for over 20 minutes, just running around and using forcefield very blatantly. I literally sent 10+ /reports and not a single one was answered.

Brawl has 5 SMODS, 15, MODS, and 18 JMODS. why is it that not a single one of them is online to resolve my /support or /reports? why is it that staff have the option to disable seeing /reports? why is it that this is a common occurrence that I find myself angry at the laziness of staff?

This needs to change. oh and this is only most of staff, not all. I would like to gives props to @pumpkinpaw , @0racle , and @Viva for doing their job as staff members.

EDIT: he has now been hacking without a ban for 33 minutes
EDIT: he has now been hacking without a ban for 42 minutes
EDIT: he has now been hacking without a ban for 49 minutes
EDIT: gg brawl, after 50 minutes we took down the hacker :grinning:

    that is all.

Saturday: I have things I have to do the whole morning
School Days: Not on until after school.
I wasn't on because I have chores and I also have lacrosse. Whenever I'm on, I try to get on kitpvp because that's where hackers like to test out their hacks. I'll try my best!

Thank you Turmac, and I understand that you and other staff members have priorities, but with over 30 staff members that can handle the situation, this happens way too often. (In my opinion)

also the hacker is still hacking if you can ban him

Might I recommend trying to record them yourself. I'm not saying you can't always rely on staff, but to ensure the hacker's ban, record them, upload the video to Youtube, and submit the link in a report.

I'm usually on but I've been busy for the past 2-3 days. I'll try to clear studying and family related issues and sort it out when I can get on (keep in mind my time is rather limited and when I'm on during EU times there are less players.) Sorry!

Unfortunately, we have a lack of active MODs right now. Hopefully soon some JMods will be promoted, but until then, we can't really do anything either. However, I agree, I have seen a lack of response to in-game /reports - even the ones I make. Although we can't expect MODs to drop whatever they're doing in-game to respond to a /report which may or may not be a valid report, we should definitely have more.

I recorded and reported somewhere over 80+ hackers last month, and that is not even my job to do. I would bet that my 80 hacker reports surpass at least half of moderators bans last month. and I do (usually) record when I can. I always have Bandicam open.
I appreciate the response, but I must ask; what exactly are EU times? Because when this was all going down, at around 11:00 PM, EST time, it would have been around 4:00-6:00 PM EU time. (times I would think are EU timezone friendly)

In my opinion, it would be cool to have a small rank where you can apply to be a "verified reporter", so if a staff member sees your report they know it is not just a troll report. <--- I might actually make a thread about this, because it is not an awful idea (IMO).

This sounds similar to something which was done in McPVP, and it was one of the biggest things that made McPVP so much better than all the other servers at the time, the HRC. It was a Skype chat where players could apply to join, and they'd have the ability to report hackers by typing the hacker's name, the server IP they were on and the hacks they were using. That means any mod, even if they weren't on the server at the time, could hop on and ban them.

There was something similar to this done on Brawl, but it was executed badly as not many mods at the time used it (nor did the players, really). The biggest issue with it was that anyone could join it, but if there was more of an application process and a "hack quiz" which players had to take to prove that they could detect hacks well, this could be a lot more effective for both mods and players, as long as its executed properly.

I have this issue sometimes on CTF. People will go to the spawn area, and kill around 10 people as a heavy before dying. I personally know from pvping ages ago that is almost impossible to do without some sort of killaura or something. I just think JMods should have a little more power/trust to do something about them.

Having a staff rank which doesn't actually require knowledge with hacks to obtain is great, since people who are just not good at detecting hacks can join the staff team and help out, but can't actually ban hackers. Being able to promote JMods who can detect hacks to Mod quicker would definitely help with this situation, however.

When I say 80 hacker reports, I mean 80 were successful. There were well over 100 counting both unsuccessful and successful.

Why don't you apply for JMod?

He has, but got denied for his history. @TheTrogs you should apply again whenever you can :stuck_out_tongue:

But, back on topic, I'm gonna make a thread on some things that could be done to improve this situation. Unfortunately, the simple solution of telling mods to respond to more reports is unfair to them, as they are allowed to play too, and we get 3-4 reports a minute so they'd not get a chance to play. A more practical solution will be required.

There just aren't any MODs online :v Over 70% of MODs are on vacation or something; extremely inactive.

Oh and JMODs are not allowed to punish hackers.

I can honestly say that occasionally, if you spend a lot of time banning hackers, it tends to burn you out. I spend a lot of time on Brawl and I enjoy helping people, so I have a lot of motivation to continue answering reports, banning hackers, and generally trying to keep Brawl fun. However, without that motivation, I can completely understand why some mods take a couple breaks here and there. However, I'm sure if you actually pm any mod online they'll come at the earliest convenience. Don't forget that sometimes a mod is dealing with another hacker on another server and can't leave to answer another report, so it seems like they aren't doing anything. I can personally guarantee you that the staff team legitimately wants to help the community. Please just understand if we get a little overwhelmed. :3

I will be reapplying soon, just have to wait a full month first.
When there is a hacker, standard protocol for a JMOD is (if there isn't a mod+ online to contact), to record the hacker, and when you have significant proof of them hacking, kick them for 1 hour. Then with the video recording or evidence of them hacking, you go to a mod+ either in-game, on slack, on forums, or on teamspeak to ban the player (permanently).

I can definitely understand that, but when some of the current staff members (not going to list names), are very rarely benefiting Brawl, they should be either given a warning, put on temporary suspension, or demoted.

Staff are mostly kids, and they are not employees. Please expect them to be busy. Kitbrawl has a /report every 10 seconds. No exaggeration, if a staff member goes there, they get stuck. Please understand that not all staff members enjoying banning like crazy. Like sociopaths like @Viva

Kit had an update recently, and I personally have noticed a lot less hackers trafficking to the server. Most staff say that there is usually a report every 3-4 minutes.
Also I talked to @sportyman56 at around I think like 10am EST, and he said he was the only builder+ online.

come back to ww doe plz?
