mod apps.

That sounds like an excellent idea! I am all for that! the amount of spammed applications are insane, and how people make accounts to vote on their own pole?!?!?! To me, it is just sickening.

 

This idea could be played with. 1 month seems slightly too drastic however this may lead on too something. I feel as said in staff that if the player posts respectfully and has good ideas, he has the ability to become a staff member in due time and loyalty. I remember first joining the engine forum, I created ideas that lengthened pages on end in a word document where I would spell check and improve upon the ideas as much as I could. What I typed was formal and its loop holes generally were due to lack of minecraft ability or being too OP (Over Powered). When @timmytimmy7 joined forums, he posted respectfully and was good in-game however he was still a novice forumer. He even forgot a poll on his mod application. Anyways, he may have been new to the forums but even today, he writes respectfully. I think if that 2 weeks before viewing is fair otherwise it isn't fair to players like timmy who have good 2 cents to put in.

I agree with both of the first two but i think the third one does not agree with me.

 

Suggestion #3 is badly worded, it sounds like users can only see staff apps for the first month they're on the forums.

As for the anti-alt-upvoting system, there should also be a 10 post minimum for responding to staff apps. Also, when a comment comes from the same IP and the applicant, it should still let the post go through, but with a message saying:
Notice: This post came from the same IP as the original poster and possibly by the same person.
There will be no warning that this message will appear and it can't be edited out. This ruins the credibility of the applicant instead of just blocking alts out. This combined with the post limit should make alts almost a non-issue.

 

That's three... I agree anyways though.

#3: I think that only accepted moderator apps should be show to a user under 1 month just to show that user what good moderator apps are like. It is common that a newer user rates a +1 on a "bad" moderator app that is copied or just not informative. After one month, denied moderator apps and the ability to post a mod app should be opened.

 

honestly every 3 months MPS should have a mod wave and recruit new mods. During the time its not a mod wave (two months of applications) applying would be dissabled

 

I think they should only be able to post one every month. Either way, good idea!
