The response time, even for a real hacker, is excruciating slow. Sometimes, hackers are active for an hour or so before being banned.

Which is EXACTLY why @TheTrogs suggested this idea. Staff don't want to waste there time replying to hate reports. But if it's from a validated reporter, they will know its a genuine report.

Also I do think they staff should respond to single reports. If it's on a server like WarZ maybe only 1 person will witness the hacker every hour.

If we're going by that standard then we need to take a look at the amount of mod+'s online as a ratio to the amount of server we have. Normally it's 2: what, 7? Even with the new anticheat on warz keeping people at bay, it's difficult to jump between servers fast enough for people's liking. (Trust me, I've tried). A lot of time it takes some observing to determine if someone is hacking before we pass judgement.

The thing is, I don't think this will solve the root of the issue, which is that there just aren't enough mods to cover the wide range of servers. No matter how many valid reports get sent in, the time it takes for them to be responded to is entirely determined by the mod (how busy they are, how many hackers there are, how long it takes to determine if they are hacking or not, etc.)

Overall this would be a pretty good idea. Only issue I see is that staff could be tempted to ignore any reports from unverified reporters.

On the server that I staff, we go into every single report without question, except when the report is against someone that is well known on the server.
It disgusts me (my opinion) that the staff don't care about individual reports.

That isn't necessarily the case. There are a lot of reports that come in an not a lot of staff available. It's not that we don't care. It's that we're swamped a lot of the times.

The majority of the skilled players have already made quite the name for themselves, and quite the number of reports are against them. Those are the ones that are generally dismissed.

I was thinking the same thing, but at least staff could prioritize a verified reporter's report over a report that could be a troll report, or a report that comes out of anger.

Warning, all of this is written on my phone. So please correct me if I made some (spelling) mistakes! It'll be marked with #correctme.

I don't think this would be a good idea. I think they implemented the /report command so mods on the server are able to see what's happening on other servers, right? It's their "job" and responsibility(this is right? #correctme) to go on that server and check what's wrong. Even if the report looks ridiculous(#correctme) like @Gehenna_Beam's example. But still! The mod should get on the server and warn the person for the language and go further in investigating the report. Maybe the person who reported the other is right, but his report looks so dumb. U still got to respond on it.

This idea could help, but I wouldn't implement it.

But mods don't check reports no matter what. That's the reason I am suggesting this.

let me rephrase that, mods don't always check reports no matter what, even if it looks like a troll report
