Hambre's Guide to Get Moderator on Your First Try

What is your in-game name?- This is where you should state your in-game name and any future changes. Don't try and look too special here or you come off as looking too desperate for a moderator position.

Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated?- Here's where you want to make your Minecraft account look like your most sacred possession. Make sure you note that you'd take your own life if you were ever taken captive and told to cough up your account password. Regardless if it's true or not; your account IS the most secure thing on planet earth. Right? Right.

How old are you?- It's best to be between the age of 13-17. We're looking for someone who's old enough to be respected by the general population of 12 year olds. But we also want someone who's young, venerable, and has no life. If you're 10 years old use a convincing deep voice changer or practice adding bass to your chest (if possible). If you're 18+ years old attempt to practice voice cracking and sound nervous when talking around us for the first time.

What time zone are you in?- The time zone is one of the most under looked categories when making an application. Try and pick a timezone when our staff is most needed. You may have to get crafty, change all of your settings, and change your accent to make it appealing. If done correctly we'll surely give you a +1.

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages?- Always state more than one fluent language. Regardless if it's true or not, your languages that you list should reflect your fake time zone and any common languages spoken on Brawl. To make it convincing speak gibberish around English-only speakers and leave any chats accompanied by people who speak foreign languages. This makes you look very educated and shines dollar signs in our eyes (since you look like a free translator).

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl?- Make a lengthy backstory about your history with us. Only highlight the good things you've done and make up reasons why our community loves you so much. Make sure to state all of your good experiences with our moderators, no matter how minute they were. We don't want to accept someone who's had a bad experience with our moderators so act as if you're on everyone's good side (which also creates the bandwagon effect). If you've had a bad history then you're still in luck! Just get a new account and say that you're an old beloved player with a new Minecraft account! If we ask what your old account was then say the name of an inactive user with a good history. This will also work if you're completely new to Brawl!

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any?- We want someone who's already had experience with moderating servers. Especially people who've moderated competing servers since it makes ours look more desirable. You can Photoshop images or edit videos of you moderating servers such as Hypixel. If we ask why there's no further proof of your moderation on that server just say they'd raged and deleted all of your history once you said you were leaving them for Brawl. This makes us feel as if our server's extremely special and threatening towards other big servers.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl?- Here's where you'll B.S. about making our server a better place. Make sure to make your response as long as a college application or a novel, then you should be golden. If you're terrible at writing lengthy answers then just edit and recycle an old moderator's response!

Have you ever used a hacked client before?- Never say that you've used a hacked client! It's like applying for a job as a bank accountant and stating that you've once robbed a place. Many of our past applicants have said they've used a hacked client to 'test for experience'. Stop with the bull crap! We're not idiots! For experience you could've watched hackers on YouTube instead of wielding the gun yourself. We'll never openly deduct points from you for stating this. But we will judge you more harshly in other areas.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why?- This is honestly one of the easiest questions to answer. Make up a generic excuse of your past actions and tell us that you've changed. Make sure to state that all of your wrongdoings were because of age or past times. 'Because past age/time' is the easiest answer to avoid the true reason of why you were banned/muted without offending one of us or appearing immature.

What do you consider your greatest strength?- Before making your application pretend to be helpful on the forums by giving people with questions obvious answers or making unoriginal opinions your own. If you see a moderator on your server pretend to be helping someone out in chat. We love to see this. Then use 'I'm very helpful' for this answer and use your past few months as proof.

What do you consider your greatest weakness?- You see, this is what we call a 'trick question'. You're really suppose to state another strength as a weakness. Saying something like 'My greatest weakness is that I can't let people resolve their own fights. I always have to try to help them settle disputes' is the answer we're looking for. You can also state an easily resolved weakness although it won't make you look as good.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on?- For this question you want to make sure you've found a server that needs staff and afk on it. Then state this server as your most active.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past?- If you've use these guidelines as your first application then obviously this will be your first and only application. Else wise, state how many applications you've made in the past. Don't lie or we'll make sure we bring up your past application's mistakes and call you out as a lair!

What is the date of the last application you submitted?- State N/A if this is your first application or post your last application's date. We'll be sure to do a quick review on it if we're not bored of reading your current application.

Do you have TeamSpeak?- You'd better say you have a TeamSpeak or we'll deny you on the spot! Afk as much as possible on TeamSpeak to make yourself appear active. It's best to afk in rooms with friends and active server channels. If you don't have friends then open multiple team speak pages up and host a channel with many different accounts. Also take about 10 minutes out of your life to talk with a few mods, admins, and coders. It makes us think you're our friend and we'll be sure to give you a +1 in this category.


Anything else you would like to state?- Here's where you need to be a suck-up and say why you love us so much. Make it lengthy and make us happy! Then we'll return the favor with another +1.

Last but not least make sure to make friends with as many moderators as possible. This guarantees a spot for you in moderation.
