New Spawn?

OK, here are my spawn thoughts. 1.8 Spawn - I didn't like it at first, then I got to love it. There were lots of places to jump around, hide when stalking enemies, and was bright, and colourful. Also the sponges around the place made PvP quite fun, and actually escaping enemies around spawn quite a skill. It also had the small sections of land at each side of the map, which is why PvP generally got 'funnelled' here - thus giving the impression of a lively and active Survival PvP server. With all the other spawns, you can exit spawn from all directions, which does mean less PvP.

However, the 1.8 spawn in my mind is just too recent. You can't have a map reset and keep the same spawn, thats just illogical. Thus I voted for the 1.7 spawn, mainly because its the second most colourful after 1.8, it was fun to play on, and it has a very nice Christmas Spawn (If the 1.7 spawn wins @0racle can we have the snow spawn for Christmas please) that matches it (If anyone remembers that).

 

Personally I'm voting for it because the 1.7 jungle spawn is where I had some of my best memories and I love the spawn. My favorite spawn is the 1.7 Original spawn (Which 80% of the people in this thread hasn't even played it before). That map is where I had my most memories, But the 1.7 Jungle spawn is my 2nd favorite.

Yup, I agree. 1.7 Spawn - Best memories there. I got established in Map 1, made a name for myself. Then map 2, I had friends, I had a team, I had bass, and it was a huge amount of fun for me.

How about we change the kitbrawl spawn because its been the same ever since it came out lmao...

 

Sooo... since KitBrawl ripped off of the original spawn it can't be used? That makes no sense. You put my spawn up for votes and it's ripped off of the old spawn. It should be up for votes to see what the community thinks.

Probably not a bad idea. Switch up the KitBrawl spawn a bit (if it's really necessary) and put the original spawn back to good use.

 

Truth is, the spawn would most likely get the most votes then he has to work harder to get the spawn back. (or he doesnt' like the spawn himself because 70% of the staff don't care about players opinions)

 

Imo the kitbrawl map is the wrong map to use for a kit pvp server as the terrain isn't the same as the type of terrain most pvp takes place on. It is kinda like a weird koth but brawl has no faction servers with koths...
And why can the spawn legal posted a pic of be added to the vote list? The votes are for the community to decide on a spawn (and for staff to later ignore).
What ever spawn is picked can you add an info wall to it or a warp under the spawn to a room with the info on the server. Noobs really need it if any noobs still join raid.

What does the community want in a spawn?
If someone was to make a new spawn what features do players want in the spawn (eg. parkour, info wall, 1v1arena) and what style/ theme do you want it (eg. Castle/walled town, sieged/raided Castle/walled town, flat spawns like the 1.7 spawns, farm, military base, under water, jungle, pirates) not saying for definite I will make a spawn but if the community really wants it and leaves suggestions for it I will then make a thread where players can vote on their favourite spawn ideas.

 

Imo a spawn needs to look colorful and alive. A place for people to trade and hang out. The current spawn is nicely built but its also kind of dark.

 

Imo, this map doesn't even fit the current server we're on. The junk under the pig spawner (all the parkour) was totally unnecessary.

 

I spend very little time at spawn. My take is make it functional and not pretty.

Whatever spawn you pick, please don't make me have to enderpearl to the nether portal outside of the spawn area where it's so easy to fail and die.

 

Good call, yeah the lack of dedicated spawn in the nether was pretty bad. Also, you can't set warps within 500 blocks of the middle of the nether, which maps to gates within 4K of spawn in the overworld. This makes a huge chunk of the nether unnecessarily unusable.

 

Couldn't agree more. The nether portal in the current one is in a horrid place. Trouble is... In the 1.8 spawn there was a specific place for the nether and end portals. In the 1.7 spawn (which looks like the ones that will win) there is no dedicated space for it. People do want a nether portal at spawn (possibly end too), so @0racle this is something that will need to be considered.

 

Legals spawn. The only one there that hasn't been used before and it's easily the best one...

 

Under spawn (Pig Spawner) is not nice...
