    We all have found knives in chests. Well a lot of people don't use them. So I came up with a way to use them. So it's pretty simple.

    When you hit someone in the back with a knife you do 10 damage (5 hearts to no armor) instead of four damage (2 hearts to no armor). This would make them much more useful. Also another side-idea. Make it so that you are 2x more likely to make someone bleed when damaging someone with it. Another side-idea is to make it so that if you kill someone with the knife that has a disease like yellow fever, the next person you stab with it contracts the disease. In this case yellow fever.

    I hope you like this idea. It's a simple one too.

    If used efficiently, melee weapons can be very good. Strafing on horseback with a dagger makes for a very difficult target and clean and concise hits.

    That is just not going to work sir.
    I think then everyone would be playing with Rearview to stop that, plus it's just a bit broken.

    1. The whole backstab idea seems like it would be a bit buggy, and would over complicate fights. -1
    2. The yellow fever idea for a sword is actually a pretty cool idea, would be cool in fights, and I am sure it could be used very strategically. Would this transition of the disease be a one time use on players, and would it give them the disease 100% of the time? +1 to this idea, you should talk about it a bit more detailed on how all the mechanics of it could work.

    The majority of fights that ensue between newer players always involve melee. 100% of the time would be rather excessive, especially for the newer players who are still learning how to play.

    Yellow fever is a very rare disease to get in Wild West, also I am suggesting that only one person can be transferred the disease from the sword

    Oh, knives have plenty of value. I've got both PoixMine and Joker to less than three hearts in leather using a dagger. They were simultaneously shooting at me.

    This wouldn't work because people could 1 shot full d's.

    MP managed to do it very good. I don't really see the difference since Mario is way better at coding :wink:

    No one but this would put a point to them.

    I like the infection idea, but it wouldn't have to be instantaneous, imo.
