Bring Minestrike back!

Minestrike wasn't that cool.

 

Sorry guys, as much as I loved MineStrike, being a co-creator and all, we cannot bring MineStrike back. When the server was taken down, the world file was deleted and we lost every map. That world save had the only versions of our maps so unless I or some other dedicated builder would be willing to recreate all of them, we would not be able to bring it back even if we wanted to. I personally invested about 200-300 hours building these maps and I never want to remake them, it would be torture.

I miss minestrike. It was always the place I would go to get away from annoying people on mc war. It was really fun also. I know the plugin was outdated, but that can be updated. It may not have been popular but with the new hub server being so popular, more people would know about it because of it being in the compass.

 

Minestrike wont be brought back because it is too close to Mc-warfare.

 

It wasn't making money and had too many bugs. This doesn't mean its dead forever, however.

 

true, but bugs can be fixed and with it being on the hub server it would be a lot more popular

 

It being close to war is what made it not bring in money.. and people don't like having one life or change so that is why they took it down along with the things as grey said.

 

True, but there was still many players who were dedicated.
If we could properly endorse it, Minestrike could be a big hit again. It might even encourage Orange to work even harder when coding.

 

I wish Minestrike would come back, I liked the idea of it but not at a lot of player were playing on it so it kinda died

 

From my past and current experience,

Money does not grow on trees.

ALL Of the servers are most likely running on the money by donators. It costs a fortune to run a community like this and not getting any money to run it, considering its similar to another gamemode means there is no point in running it.

 

Well said. I personally thought MC-Party might go the same way , until they made some things donator. I personally never played Minestrike, but if it's close to MC-Warfare, it must be fun.

 

i liked minestrike purely for the fact that it has a different play style.

 

I think that McBrawl should reopen the minestrike server. I would be willing to play and record on it almost every day. I think it would be good for McBrawl to reopen it.

 

It was closed because it was to much like mc-war. People would not play on it or donate because of the similarity to war. I don't think it will ever be re-opened because of those reasons.

 

I would love this, but a lack of players and donations shut down the server, so unless they can get super-cheap or free servers, they probably wouldn't bring it back. Maybe, however, they can make a CounterStrike gamemode on war...

 

I think a lot of people would play it if minor changes were made. Instead of getting rid of Minestrike, get rid of War. Jk.

 

How about they add Mine-strike as a new gamemode to mc-war. If they were so similar, then it would be cool to combine them.

 

I would record this so hard my computer would crash and explode like a nuke.

 

Then Mc-War, Won't be Mc-War anymore.

 

The reason Minestrike got removed was not enough players, donations, and it was too similar to War. However, if Minestrike got tweaked to make it even more fun and unique than War, I could see a potential list of players that would play daily on that server.
