    Sup Brawlers,

    Doing my part to increase the player base by contacting notable Minecraft celebrities and asking them to play our game.

    I'd encourage players who love the server to write to your favorite YouTuber. YouTubers are always looking for new content, ideas, and if we provide an easy one they can feature our game. If featured, we could see a bump in new players.

    Below is the message I wrote to DanTDM. As of November 2016, he has over 12.8 million subscribers. Feel free to use it as a template to write to your favorite YouTuber.

    Hi Dan,

    Thought you might enjoy playing War. Below are the links to my texture packs, one is a Nerf Gun Texture pack and the other is an Avengers/Movie themed texture pack.

    Also, I was wondering if you could produce 2 Youtube features.

    1) The impact from EULA has forever changed the game. Since EULA has been strictly enforced in the Minecraft arena it has made pay to win a thing of the past. Many servers are feeling the financial pinch of lost revenue as well as lower player base.

    My concern and one you should consider supporting is how to make the servers equitable and profitable. When the servers go under, it impacts the players as well as the game itself. The erosion of paying players and monthly contributions reduces the overall server revenue and the number of people that play them.

    2) I was wondering if you could play "War" (server address below) and feature it in a video. We have a fantastic server. Basically, Call of Duty wrapped around a Minecraft platform. Also, I've attached my texture pack to give you an entirely new experience....you'll love the movie quotes in the pack.

    I think you need to avoid stating things like "we have a fantastic x" or "our y is worth checking out", instead keep it more neutral. Otherwise, I love it, the EULA thing is certainly a must.

    Some people, especially popular YouTubers can be very suspicious of attachments + URL download links, incase someone is trying to put a trojan on their device to steal passwords etc. This could be a problem.

    He's smart enough to run the link through the virus tool....Lol, or maybe not. But for the sake of thinking about it, let's pretend he has some common sense.

    The focus of this thread: I'd like to encourage others to reach out to Youtubers or others who could help broadcast our game so that more players would be encouraged to play.

    Feel free to post who you reached out to & how they responded.

    I think that just some random player on the server saying "Please help our playerbase by playing on our server for a video" is not incentive. He's probably getting monetary deals from other servers or he knows that playing on a new server won't make him as much money as playing on something his followers may enjoy more. Youtubers need sponsorships and ad revenue to make a living, and so asking them to do something for free won't work.
    If you want to round up a substantial amount of money and say "I, a random player on the server, will give you lots of money to play on our server," that's fishier than a spam bot on soundcloud.

    This is an idea thread so post ideas of real ways to attract more players.

    If the server continues this trajectory it will die.

    We're saying the idea needs improvement in certain areas.
    Nobody ever said that the server is going survive if it keeps losing players like this.
    Also, if it's an idea, shouldn't it be under the ideas category? You said yourself that you sent this and that other people should follow suit.

    How about this:

    Instead of contacting the biggest minecraft Youtuber we aim a little lower. The bigger youtubers have nothing to gain from playing brawl. On mcpvp a couple of members starting posting messages similar to this on small YouTube channels with only a couple thousand subscribers and a couple of them did make some videos. I even am subbed to one of them. If we support the smaller youtubers it could benefit brawl

    I don't think DanTDM is the right guy considering 85% of his viewers are under 11 and I wouldn't say war is suitable for younger kids.

    I feel like we should only ask known youtubers to play once some servers are updated, because pretty much everything is glitchy.
