Wild West server ideas

Bit more detail would be nice. According to google its a sub-machine gun, which does not suit the wild west theme.

More detail please. Where should the sign be? What should it say? What's it there for?

The respawnable horses should be hard to get, in my opinion. I was able to make 100k the other day from mining for a few hours - doing this a few days for a respawnable horse is about right.

Needs more detail. How would this be different to robbing conductors? How much money would it make? How does it work? Would other players be affected (as in, would they lose money if someone robbed the bank)?

More detail. I'm guessing these would just be where you can rent smaller apartments which have less chest space, but for less money. Maybe 4 chest space for 15k a week? It would be nice to have some cheaper houses for newer players to buy, as long as they're not too good.

Definite +1. I think cartels should be something like 40% of the drug profits. Making it so capturing the cartel before actually selling a drug would be a cool addition, in my opinion.

Needs more detail. How would the 1v1 be fair (would the two players get given the same stuff)? How would players do this? Where would the 1v1 take place? What does the winner get, and does the loser lose anything?

I don't see the point in just enabling the day/night cycle so its dark half the time. Would anything special happen at night?

I know some people are already working on making new bases. I'd love to see them get added to the game, since the 5 bases being almost identical makes things boring. They're also way too easy to camp. +1

I don't really like the fact that you can teleport at all in wild west (in fact, when the project was first announced in this thread, it specifically said "Tired of seeing all these modern builds, cars, and magically teleporting?"). However, since I don't see them removing teleporting any time soon, this should be probably added. Just /home would suffice.

YES. Should be about 500g from a shop owner (or whatever the NPC that you buy medicines from is called).

Server resets should only be done if something big is added. Like if a huge update which completely changes how the game is played (which should definitely happen in my opinion), a reset would be fine. But unless something is different after the reset, I don't see the point.

Could be cool. What sort of events do you have in mind?

+1. Should work in a similar way that Wynncraft works, if you've ever played that.

Not sure if I'm just being weird as throwing knives are hardly technologically advanced, but this just doesn't feel like it fits the theme of wild west. Also, I don't think this would enhance combat much. In fact, I couldn't see these being used at all in combat, really.

I'm fairly certain the gold axe is still untextured. One of them is at least, since an axe is used for the lumberjack in the navigator, but I could be wrong. Either way, +1.

I disagree. Sawed-off can't one shot (record it or it didn't happen), yet it still has a very low clip size to balance out its damage.

Horses are already used to get away from sheriffs. Speed pots would be too easily accessible in my opinion.

Seems boring. I'd rather revamp one of the other ways of making money so its more interesting, before doing this.

One final note - some of these ideas could be interesting, but some more detail would be nice. The more you say about an idea, the more people will like it if it is a good one.

 

I was writing out my own reply but SoCool sniped me.

Just figured I'd mention that I made a thread about introducing a whole new tier of automatic weapons, and it was rejected almost immediately. They would change the way we fight too much, so definite no to the tommy gun.

 

They can if you try hard enough. Although changes won't necessarily be added now since there's more important things to deal with at the moment, they will definitely be considered for updates in the future if we like the ideas.

 

This would only really benefit new players who can't afford to buy new horses when they die. The game is hard enough as it is for new players - allowing them to start with a respawnable horse would make the game at least a little easier.
