New Warning System

    Hello Brawlers,

    In the past our staff members often had issues with players frequently breaking the rules. Because the players may get punishments from various staff members, it is hard to escalate these punishments after several offenses. To solve this issue and implement all the suggested escalating punishments, we developed a warning system.

    This means that staff members will use /warn when players violate the rules and the system - rather than the staff member - gives out punishments based on the offense and the amount of previous offenses of the same type.

    There are several different categories to cover all possible offenses and they all have a unique set of escalating punishments as well as an expiration time. Obviously, only warnings that have not expired account for the given punishments. To view your own active warnings, you can use /warnings.

    These are the current categories and punishments:

    Rule violations such as hacking or alting that result in an immediate permanent ban will be handled manually by the staff members.

    Our staff members will start using this system on Saturday, January 7th.

    Please note that no rules have been changed, only the way how staff members punish for rule violations. We hope this system helps to create a more friendly environment for playing on Brawl's servers.

    Shouldn't it be more like this:
    ABUSE ("BUG_ABUSE", "GLITCHING", "OUT_OF_MAP")
    Violation 1: Warn
    Violation 2: Kick
    Violation 3: 30 minute ban
    ?

    "Kill yourself" is a death wish and thus Extreme Harassment; this is explained in the Handbooks for staff.

    Sure let's do it like this:
    ABUSE ("BUG_ABUSE", "GLITCHING")
    Violation 1: Warn
    Violation 2: 30 minute ban

    ABUSE ("OUT_OF_MAP")
    Violation 1: Warn
    Violation 2: Kick
    Violation 2: 30 minute ban

    This makes more sense.
    Someone who goes out of map shouldn't get the same punishment as someone who gets 100 kills every game on mc-war by abusing some bug.

    We can't have a different warning for every specific situation; that would make the system pointless.
    With War 2.0 coming up being Out of map will not be much of an issue anyways.

    Well this will improve ridealongs greatly, tired of seeing the same people teaming with the same hacker on different accounts over and over again and walking away fine.

    Sounds good... just dont break the rules and you will be fine :stuck_out_tongue:
    The feature I like the most (as a member) is that you can actually see your latest mutes, since not everyone is on the forums this will be helpfull for those breaking rules.
