To Save Wild West

Clickbait, yanking everyone here thinking I'm going to preach about how to fix Wild West.

Sike. I've already made it abundantly clear that in my opinion, the only way to fix Wild West is a complete rework.

But, that's not very specific. What I want from the community is to hear your ideas on how to fix and restore Wild West. You are free and entitled to your own opinion.

I don't want this thread to turn into a massive flame war between sheriffs and bandits like Slack and several other forums threads have. I will request a lock in a heartbeat. This thread is designed to give the people who can actually do something about Wild West's loss of popularity right now a better idea or a wider set of concepts and plans to restore the server to its former glory. Or as close as they can bring it anyways.

Feel free to debate below. Please don't flame. It's utterly pointless. Sure, it grabs the attention of the staff team, but it shifts the attention from the thread's ideas to the flame comments, and the thread ends up getting locked, therefore the flow of ideas is cut off. So please, if you feel like being a jackass and killing Wild West faster than it currently is dying, leave.

I now hand the spotlight over to the community.

 

He already has a ton of content to add. I've seen some of it.

It's not Random's fault he got handed a server that was losing players before he was handed management responsibility.

They should definitely have 1/2 of each medicine. Would encourage more fighting and it would be based more on skill than gear capabilities. But, this thread I see based on saving Wild West from losing its entire community, not just the needs of sheriffs (no offense, and some of those needs should be met)

The economy balance is a great concept, but it's also an extremely hard concept to turn out right on the first run at it. Mario was lucky to have hit it right when Wild West was originally released, but we lost it when Roke tried to change the economy around to make full sets of gear more of a goal than something you have regularly.

On the sheriff money buff, as stated above, this thread is designed to meet the needs of the entire community, not just the sheriffs wants and needs. Some of those wants/needs do need to be met, but they are not what's important right now. Money and gear changes for sheriffs won't count for **** if there's no community to play with.

 

Plenty have things have been said, this thread is just designed to collaborate all these ideas to present to him.

 

That is a good idea that would need some tinkering

And going back on this, now that I'm feeling slightly triggered, several of those ideas were collaborated by me, random, and another person, which are benefiting Brawl, and the other two people (not random) who helped conceive said ideas will get absolutely no credit for the care and thought they have shown the gamemode. I am not by any means hating on randomcitizen1, but I am just speaking the frank truth.

If I were you I honestly would have just made a whitelist for the server and used it as something private.
