    Hello, Brawl Community!
    Long ago I came up with the idea for a new game involving pirates. Unfortunately the idea was screwed up when I went on summer holidays and forgot about it. The good news are that the idea came back and today I thought of writing it down here.

    So, to start off, I want to state that this game will have some similarities to Wild West but the actual gameplay is whole lot different. The main goal is to survive and become the wealthiest pirate in the game. The player can kill another players, loot chests, create their own crew and hire - fire players and of course afford to buy their own ship or boat. The ships won't look like usual boats but they will be recreations of ships with blocks. The ships won't move obviously but they will be "teleporting" to 3 different locations.
    (Harbor (or the uninhabited island) -> Sea -> Destination (which is also an island with a harbor) or an *uninhabited island (where players can loot treasures)

    So now let's talk about the game plan. The player joins the game for the first time and is given the option to choose on what island he wants to spawn in. He spawns with some default items (similar to Wild West):​
    1. A knife (default)
    2. Leather chestplate, leggings and boots (default)
    3. Some potions (default)
    4. A small amount of doubloons preferably 345 doubloons (not default)
    5. A basic, small ship (not default)
    6. A map which is modified for easy click use and opens GUI (default)
    7. A boat (default)


    The player spawns in the island he chose to spawn in a beach village. There will be NPCs around with shops and stuff.

    Ships & Boats
    Close to the harbor there is a Ship Dealer NPC who sells various ships to the player including storage ships (more storage for the loot), large ships (more crew capacity), speed ships (faster travelling), tank ships (more durability on sea battles). All ships include cannons which can be used manually in sea battles. With ships you can travel to places faster than plain boats, have it as your crew hq (obviously). Otherwise with boats you have to travel long distances from one island to another. The ships' cannons need ammo which can be bought from the shops of the island.

    Weaponry
    A player can buy weapons from two different shops. The one is for melees and the other for guns.
    The collection includes some rifles, shotguns and pistols. The melees include some different knives and swords.

    Crews

    Crews can be created by a player to help them on fights, sea battles and work for them. The crew owner is called the "Captain" and only he can set a specific ship to be the crew's hq. The owner of the crew can hire or fire players for his crew and also give them a specific rank counterpart to the team ranks of Wild West.

    Islands (uninhabited)

    In there people can search for treasures to loot, mine ores and sell them or kill other players or the indigenous people (mobs).

    Sea Battles
    Sea battles are the fights happening between two crews with their ships being placed side to side. During sea battles players can either use the cannons to damage the opponent crew's ship and the crew itself or use the "ropes" to get into the opponent crew's ship to have a close gun or melee fight. Winner crew is the one to kill all the crew's members evolved in the fight or wreck down the opponent crew's ship. The winner gets a big amount of money. The ships don't get physically damaged but their hp gets reduced and they sink if the hp is reduced to the critical point. For a sea battle to start the crew's Captain can use a command to challenge another crew. If the other crew accepts the challenge both crews' ships are placed side to side. If a crew doesn't have a ship then they can't challenge another crew to a sea battle.

    Economy
    Now gold coins (Wild West) are replaced with doubloons and each is worth 2x gold coins. In order to get money players can loot chests, mine ores and sell them, kill players, win sea battles, kill indigenous people or sell heads to head hunters.

    Although the concept itself is interesting, it sounds too much like Wild West.

    I personally really like this idea! Although there are certain similarities to WildWest at the moment, I can think of many ways gameplay etc. could be developed to make it more independent from that! Really cool idea!

    I think this is a Great Idea! Although its a little like Wild West, It would be more beginner friendly!

    I don't think we need any more open style gamemodes, if you look at wildwest, it has the 2nd lowest average playercount. I don't think many people would play this, although the idea is cool, it's always very similar to wildwest just different style.

    I really, really like this idea! Although it's a lot like Wild West but I think it can be changed so it veer's away from Wild West a bit. +1 though!

    It looks like Wild West but your idea isn't bad and quite original tough. If we change the economy/roles/guns etc. this could be great gamemode to add. +1.

    Oh thanks for reminding me of the roles! I forgot them. Maybe there can be a counterpart to the sheriffs called anti-pirates? I swear that's how they are called.

    There were a lot of roles during the piracy:
    • Filibuster
    • Buccaneer
    • Leading seaman
    • Captain
    • Governors
    • Sailor
    • Admiral (= Sheriff)
    Those are examples.

    But with this, it will either take a lot of wild west players or it will be popular for a week and die. There will be around 10-30 people that'll play it a lot but with these kind of games, it's hard to join midway through because everyone else is so op. I don't see it being popular because the most popular servers are minigame or factions ones.

    Not only have I never seen this kind of gamemode, but it looks really cool as well! It might be similar to Wild West, however it just, I don't know, sounds so cool. If they add this, it would help to put it in beta and see if people like it, if they don't, remove the gamemode, if they like it, keep it

    That's a problem that all servers had. That was a problem that always existed and everywhere. There are always players that are more skilled than others in each server. That's something that can be only beaten by patience and trying. I can't really see that problem affect the gameplay at all since players can choose to earn money in safe and legal ways such as mining. They gain money buy better sets, fight more, gain more money.

    Players prefer games where you can just jump on and play because people have less time. Look at wildwest, it hardly has anyone. Why would making a gamemode very similar to wild west be different?

    Waste of time coding. Hypixel can do this because the sheer amount of Devs and money they have, brawl doesn't have room for errors.

    We gave a go for many gamemodes. Whether the community wants to see this game is their opinion.
