    Edit for those unaware: save is currently causing players to get locked out of their maps so it's disabled for now. Just to reassure you: the OTHER map corruption bug that meant /save was needed in the first place has been fixed, and we are currently planning alternative anti-griefing measures. :smile:

    Updates!

    It’s been a long time coming, but I’m VERY excited to announce that – with the help of @NomNuggetNom's coding wizardry – you can now manually save your maps!

    Over the past few months we’ve seen a lot of maps get corrupted, some people losing hours of work, some with individual chunks reverted, and some even reset to their original state. It’s happened to regular players and staff alike, to the point that some Build Team members now prefer to use the dedicated Build Team server for their more important builds.

    Now, however, all that’s going to change with the introduction of /save!

    There are two commands you need to be aware of:
    /save, which force saves your world; and
    /loadsave [0, 1, 2…], which restores a map to a previous save. /loadsave on its own shows a list of saves.​

    Both can only be used by the OWNER of a map.

    Please note that this will only come into effect once the servers reboot.

    I’m really happy we’ve been able to make this happen. We’ve fixed a problem that caused a huge amount of grief for you guys, so I hope you appreciate the update as much as I do! And make sure to thank Nom when you next see him! :smile:

    Yes! I've waited for this to come out for a long time. I recently lost progress on a map I was doing and was devastated. I'm so glad this is out. Thanks @NomNuggetNom and @Rhoske! <3

    Oh yes it is. Extremely preventable. I don't actually perm people on my map at all.

    @Rhoske Happens whenever I try to save :frowning:

    And then it doesn't save. I tried relogging and everything!

    does "/save 1" make a difference? (idk I've never used the commit/save command since mcpvp)
