    Admiral here and I think its about damn time a damn good word like 'damn' was uncensored in game. It's mildly offensive at most, synonymous with 'dam', an excellent substitute for less appropriate words when one is upset, and a damn good word all around. The amount of censorship on this server is too damn high. If someone is abusing the term then mute or ban the damn fool. That's what the damn rules are for! Uncensor 'damn' damn it!

    Why don't you use the intermediate or off settings in /censor? It's not censored on those two.

    Damn appears in PG rated films and throughout Harry Potter. It's about the most benign swear word you can think of. If the movie industry and virtually every library in the world thinks it's fine for 'little kids' to hear it on the screen or come across it in literature there's no reason to censor it here.

    That's beside the point of this thread Gehenna. I'm suggesting that it be uncensored on all settings, especially since 'damn' can be misconstrued as a far more serious swear word on the 'strict' chat setting (since it has the same number of letters in it as 'f*ck', for instance).

    Almost any word can be used as an insult, if the person receiving it is sensitive enough. If someone gets offended by someone saying "Damn you" over the internet, they should get off the internet.

    They maybe hard to find these days, unfortunately, but their are kids out there that don't know the f word or the d word. They're not going to know what "**** you" means.
    Also, there are players who don't want to see any swear words, including d*mn.

    Just to back this up - "monkey" and "cracker" can both be used as racist words that are just as bad as n****. And no, let's not censor those words.
