Help: FPS drops

    As the title implies, I'm getting wierd FPS drops in 1.8.8 since Sunday. And I mean from 400fps to 0 for about a second, which makes my game unplayable.
    Specs: Windows 10
    nVidia GeForce 960M
    Java 8 121
    NOTE: My graphics card driver is behind by 1 update because the current update insta-crashes my MC.
    Anyone have a fix for this?
    It was fine for almost 6 months :C

    Do you have the new Minecraft launcher, might be the problem but might not.

    Do you have a download for this?

    In fact the new launcher makes it even worse. I then get 60 FPS and the lags.
    Does anyone have a possible fix? :C

    Never mind, I've fixed it!
