So there are some people that purposefully abuse ridiculous ping on KitBrawl. I asked this one guy to join minekits after he was causing flame on Kit, and he comes from Canada (according to one of minekits' features). Of course it may be a VPN, but I think people shouldn't be allowed to play with MS of over 700 (which is basically impossible, even from the McMurdo Science Station in Antarctica).
    Thoughts?

That would be a stupid move to make and would further reduce the struggling player base. Even I have 700-900 ping at times. Would I be banned just for that? For ISP issues or anything of that kind?

No other video games or servers do that, I don't see any gain from this.

Its not worth bannong since they can't help that their ping is so high. Big -1

Plenty of people have times when their internet is being a little funky and is jumping above 700 ping. Is it right to ban them for this, no. I can understand if someone is "abusing" their high ping but I don't think that's a major issue.

Not banning, sure. Maybe warning them. The thing is, this high ping gives them an amazing advantage as they can hit you (while they lag) and you can basically only hit their standing bodies, despite them being somewhere else entirely. I get your point sure.

I think it would be very difficult for us as a staff team to justify even warning someone for something that MIGHT be completely out of their control - Obviously as you state they may be doing it intentionally however, others may not be. Due to how difficult it would be for us to distinguish between the two, I just feel it would be wrong of us to add this to our current protocols.

Seems to me that, unfortunately, it is annoyance we will just have to deal with!

What's the point of warning if you aren't going to punish anyways

How about adding a queue that matches you with someone that has the same ping as you do, or at least that are between 50-100?

I've played with ping higher than 1k, and its much more detrimental to the person with a high ping than the people fighting them. Also, how is Brawl supposed to know if someone intentionally has high ms, or just has a bad Internet connection? There's too many flaws for something intended to prevent something which really doesn't need to be prevented.

Ok, I get the feeling that this isn't gonna be a popular change.
