    A friendly reminder that the first KOTH event is tomorrow at 3pm EST! Be sure to ready your teams and gear to be the dominating team! A quick outline of what the event entails:

    The arenas will be located 300 blocks out in each direction. When a koth is happening, the active one will be announced, and a scoreboard will be shown to display the information. To win a koth, you must have one teammate standing on the platform for a duration of 5 minutes. If they are knocked off, then the timer will be reset and someone else will have to keep the control. As of now, the prizes for the winning team is a crate key, which will reward one of the following based on their percentages:

    10% - mooshroom egg
    15% - Wither Skull
    10% - 1 God Apple
    5% - Diamond Helmet - Prot 4, Unb 3
    5% - Diamond Chestplate - Prot 4, Unb 3
    5% - Diamond Leggings - Prot 4, Unb 3
    5% - Diamond Boots - Prot 4, Unb 3
    15% - 32 TNT
    15% - 32 Gold
    15% - 32 XP Bottles

    Note: Every teammate online will get a key, which can be redeemed at spawn.

    Honestly, you should get better loot from the crate key astounding are risking p4 sets and sharp 4 swords etc. Just to get a bit of what you risked back.

    No, that would be too OP.

    Keep in mind all your team gets a prize, so it's more than what you risked tbh. And this is a hardcore server so the prizes shouldn't be too op. Give suggestions tho, Im open to listening

    If you think about it, say you had all your team on and you win the koth. You have the chance of losing a set or multiple sets of prot 4 even if you do win. There's a chance you can get prot 4 armour and stuff but that chance is very small, 1 god apple isn't very helpful, neither is tnt etc. Only decent thing is a mushroom cow imo which still isn't very good. Instead it should be:
    256 XP bottles
    2 random pieces of prot 4/unbreaking
    3 random pieces of prot 4/unbreaking
    Set of prot4/unbreaking
    Sharp 5 unbreaking 3 fire aspect 2 sword
    Fortune 3, EFF 5, unbreaking 3 Picaxe
    16 god apples
    128 gold
    64 diamonds
    8 random enchanted books

    These might be slightly too op but this is better and more worth it, didn't want to add percentages.

    Waay to op for a weekly event on a hardcore server. I'll think of a balance between them maybe after the event is finished to get a better view of how all of it goes

    Ever.

    I say give everyone 50 levels of XP. Period. No keys, etc. That can help repair armor or enchant new armor. XP isn't part of the contest, so someone who misses out won't be left behind.

    I agree that the rewards are a bit lame, but I think it could be better if the rewards were 2 or 3 of those items rather than 1.

    I meant as in a kit to start with, not a HG kit (which is pointless in my case since I have all of them :smile: )
