Remove Banned Players from Leaderboards

What about people who get unbanned, is there an easy way to put them on it again? do their stats get reset because it was a fair ban but they appealed after a couple of months?

If a player is earning resources or farming stats in a game illegitimately, their stats for that server should be
completely wiped clean.

Only issue I can think of would be regarding false-bans.

Also, how exactly do you think that this would this work best? Would it be set-up so that if a player is banned, their stats are cleared automatically?

 

I agree, iMingos' kills is very hard to surpass, so its the best if he gets removed from the leaderboards.

 

What about people who got banned for being toxic but not hacking? If their stats are legit why should they be removed because they're banned?

Basically the main issue is that being banned does not automatically equal unfairly gaining statistics. Punishments for chat offenses or for example DoX/DDoS have nothing to do with in-game stats, yet this would mean players who got banned for it would be removed from the leaderboard.

 

Agreed, but disregarding everything stated on this thread I personally think being banned equals to not showing on the leaderboard. Why would the leaderboard show a player that doesn't even play? Well okay maybe for reputation/respect. Imo no banned player needs that, though.

Regarding this:

I feel like the stats should come back if the player gets unbanned. Unless the reason he/she got banned was the use of clients to boost his/her stats.

Isnt it only fair that somone who hacks to get better stats gets their stats wiped? If they didnt hack, they dont get them wiped.

Why have leaderboards if you don't include the leaders?

 

We just dont want to include those who have used hacked clients to get better stats.

As a punishment for getting banned. It's incredibly easy to be just normal and if one gets banned it's his/her fault.

It happens more often than it did because of the new rules regarding continuous rule violations (i.e. why lionafp, onise, and others were banned). Toxicity isn't a reason to remove someone from the leaderboards. If their stats are legit then they should be on the leaderboard. It's like how I might think @Proterozoic is the world's biggest pinhead but that doesn't mean his absurd number of Archer kills should be erased from the record. They're like those old school trophies, they don't become irrelevant because of personal issues, time, or rust.

My 2 cents. I think if the player was banned in part for farming or hacking to get better stats, then of course they should be removed. If they weren't then they'd still get what they want. For other rules of course they shouldn't be removed because breaking rules necessarily equal being a bad player

 

The only problem I have with this is the stats that aren't illegitimately earned, such as playtime. It's sort of neat to see how much someone played...
