Sniper Tower

Maybe a lesser nerf, as there is literally 5 ways to rush sniper tower now. Maybe shrink it down to 3-2.

 

Sniping isn't really a type of rushing. There was one way to rush before, infinite ways with grapples, and then ladders make it almost infinite as well.

 

It's still an issue with teams like the germans who can position 2 players in construction, 2 on mountain, 2 in the stairs, 2 in the spiral stairs, and maybe 1 laddering up. There's no where to go unless you have at least a team of 3 and barb. Also, their team is big that they're likely rich and have lots of gapples to rush easily.

I still think the old sniper tower was better. Maybe they can get rid of the second staircase and just make it open to ladders, and maybe add some blocks to prevent sniping from construction and mountain (not a wall, just some blocks. You can still snipe but just less angles). I think this would be a fair change.

 

Welp, I mean, it doesn't actually need to be a super OP camping spot. Nether has many, so why change it back?

 

As I said, its not that sniper tower is a critical building. West tower still exists, and there are many other spots. Having one less camping spot is not a huge disadvantage to a fight at nether. If we want to keep sniper tower as the main camping spot and it was the only good building at nether then I would understand, but it is not. This was my point that I was trying to make.

 

With grappling hooks being removed, the only way up tower is the stairs, and with a sufficient amount of barb you cannot be shot from any direction. That would mean that there are only two stairs to rush, both of which are fairly simple to guard. In my opinion it would just be too hard to rush, and having it like the way it is encourages people to camp other spots as well, instead of just sitting in tower for years upon years.

 

I don't agree with changing it back. Sniper tower has always been an ( almost ) impossible spot to rush if the team on top plays smart. If you succesfully barb it there is no way of sniping them from construction and mountain. Then theres 2 entrances. If you have a team of, let's say, 5 people, you have 2 camping the outer stairs and 3 watching the middle. If you've ever seen Dead_City's team up there, you know that they have a very smart way of defending the tower. If you're smart enough, it's an OP spot to camp.

So no, a -1 from me for changing it back to the old tower.

 

That is a matter of opinions. Some people prefer long fights but more prefer short fights for clips, loot and etc
