Does it help to say that the diamond helmet is Protection 4, Unbreaking 3.
Diamond pickaxe is Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 3, fortune 3.
Skull items are 2 wither skulls.

 

Why not make it say that then?

WoW we should go out with stoneswords to the next koth... If we want to earn anything.

Still not worth to lose 1-5 sets of p4 for that when i can get that in 20minutes of xp farming or going around in nether.

 

We're currently thinking of ways to improve the koth as much as we can to create a better experience for the community. This will take some time though, all we ask from the community is some patience and faith.

 

(edit: Winning Team gets) 1 level of XP for each minute that the KOTH lasts. This means that at an absolute minimum, it would give out 10 levels.

And yes, I know the 6 hour KOTH would have given out 350 levels of XP. But when you bust through set after set of P4 for hours on end you gotta make it worthwhile. Also this would make for very climactic battles if they last a long time.

 

Could be abused easily, if you have no competition then you could just wait for like 12 hours or some **** before actually capturing it and then you'd get 700 levels of XP.

 

This is legit if there was only one team. However, there are tons of teams and once the XP pool gets that high everyone will show up to fight for it. It's like the lottery- no one buys tickets until the pot gets high. Same principle here- when there is that big of a pool, it will get a lot more contentious.

See above- yeah, if only one person were at the KOTH this is valid, but there is never one person or team at the KOTH.

And finally this would be the end prize- and if they somehow get killed after the KOTH, and lose their XP, tough luck. I just watched on chat today where someone killed the enderdragon, and someone else scooped all the XP up and warped out. It happens.
