How to PvP​

Although there are many different guides about PvP on brawl, I believe that this guide will reinforce and help guide the reader. In this guide we will go over the basics of hotkeying and different types of strafes.

What is Hotkeying
Hotkeying in minecraft is the action of using a finger to switch inventory slots. For example I tend to use my ring finger to select slot number one. Hotkeying can play a huge role in deciding if you will win a fight or not, especially in soup pvp. I'm guessing most of you readers know what soup pvp is, so Ill get straight to the explanation on why hotkeying while pvping will help improve your pvp game. Without hotkeying in soup pvp, you will be forced to waste time using the mouse button to scroll to soup and then scroll back. Although you can probably sprint away and use your soup, hotkeying will allow you to continue combos while healing yourself at the same time.
How is Hotkeying (haha)
Although the finger for hotkeying can be based on preference, this is what I have found the easiest.
1+2= Ring finger
3=Middle finger
4-8= Index finger
9-0 Scroll wheel, (my fingers are short so I am forced to use to scroll wheel. I usually save these 2 slots for when I am running away)
Different types of strafes
Circle strafing= This is the act of running around a player while hitting them. This is good for Pot pvp due to the fact that a good circle strafe will allow you to use the potions that your enemy throws on the ground.

w tapping= Since knockback is the greatest at the beginning of the sprint, w tapping can help extend combos. Unfortunately noobs will call you out for hacking. (Most videos on this are pretty bad, you might be able to find a good one after googling it)
AD tapping= The act of holding ones sprint button down whilst using A and D. (The following video is a example. One thing you may note is that MK is usually at the opposite side of where the person is aiming for. I usually stare at the head and strafe for the opposite direction of where the enemy is aiming.)

Straight Lining= Not really a strafe but it has its uses. To straight line run forward while clicking with your mouse. Often used by the tribe of Steves. Can be used when a player is in a corner or out of soup. The more evolved technique is jumping while doing so.
Additional stuff that doesn't fit in these categories but you should probably know

• /report is a thing people... PLEASE USE IT
• Jumping while having speed 2 makes you slower

Yep and I have found it to work :/ Most servers it doesn't so this is pretty convenient for me as a player.
