How is War this dead?

it's cause the coders let it die when they promise updates and it never comes out for almost 4 years and still comes out people are gonna be mad and its not even because they promise people dont wanna play something that doesn't change after 4 years regardless the only time its not really dead is during the weekend i think it started dying during around the summer/fall time last year because i did see around 200+ people playing until eventually when it went down to 100> and then some more people quit because no one ever played and mst people quit besides the good players witch makes new players not want to play to get 1 kill and 15 deaths so the coders made a chain reaction to make everything bad for war.

 

There are many many threads going over on how "war is dieing" or "war is dead" we know, War 2.0 is coming #soon and hopefully that'll change things a bit, not even a bit but a LOT. And actually, over the past month or two war is been increasing players usually on Sundays (war fun Sundays) and even on other days there's around 40 players on which is close-ish to the major amount of players in the previous players/

Remember when there were 30-40 people on at least 4 servers? War has died, exponentially to how it used to be especially in 2013. Just a stale game mode, nothing more, nothing less.

 

Am I the only one getting annoyed by everyone questioning and saying "lol war died this game suks"? I literally see "oldschool" players coming up every day, saying "ugh this is so bad now, it used to be sooo good back in the days blah blah" and then we never see them again. As for me, I don't give a crap about what was in the old days. And yes, I played then as well. But now, I'm just happy that i can play and have fun now and then, with lower or higher player counts as well. 10 players is the same as 70 for me, expect the lagg i get... I guess who is still goes for tryhard, cryes about how less players we have now. For real, am I the only one who can live with this, and have fun playing with only 4-5 players on? .-.

 

There are many factors, however the main one being is that Brawl pretty much kept giving false hope about when it would come out. In the end everyone just got fed up with it, including me which resulted in me quitting for a long time. I came back to see, oh what a shocker, no 2.0.
Instead of creating a whole new game (pretty much), they could of resolved all bugs on the server, added a few new guns, some more motives (some actual goals so people wouldn't just focus on kdr or kills and get bored) , got voting to work properly etc. It wouldn't of taken as long and it would of been as good as new. No, Brawl likes the complicated route so we had to wait several years for work on it to only begin now.

55k players on a few times when I joined. Hypixel are doing an insane job, their staff are crap tho.

 

For the first time in almost 2 years I got on this account and played War again last night.

Saw at least 30 players at once, they were fun games and almost nobody raged. I also got some good kills and got my first EMP in a long time.

I don't believe War is dead if I could do all that

 

war has gone down significantly even in 2015 maybe even early 2016 there could be 40 50 or even 60 people without an event

 

War is dying because everyone is just getting bored, just like me, i have so much stuff to do irl then when i have time to do mc, i go on other servers (sometimes) bc war is just repetitve, playing, dying, killing, waiting, playing etc.. There is no stop, we are just waiting for something new and something that hasnt been updated in forever isnt gonna stay alive for very long.....

 

The fact that 2.0 was announced 3 years ago people were waiting, but they couldn't wait any longer, so they quit.

 

Weekends are more busy.

The game hasn't evolved much and people have gotten bored.

I'm writing a book but I still can find 30 minutes to play now and again.

Taking over the world irl is time consuming....

 

I've seen war range from 10-30 people nowadays, it often depends on the time. But war is undoubtedly dead compared to what it used to be.

 

I've seen hypixel with like 40k on releases of big, over-hyped games.

War is dead because War 2.0 took too ****ing long, and everyone who was hyped for it has either given up hope, or got bored of old War and consequently left.

 

I honestly had enough of this crap of everyone saying '2.0 took so long wooo'... I've been on two tests so far, and I have to say, 2.0 looks AWESOME!! And guys, as far as I know, Totom did this all alone, with the testing help of some staff members. Based on this and the fact that it looks frickin good, the gameplay is challenging, the gun system is awesome, I'm surprised that Totom alone did this under idk, 3 years? With ofc. real life stuff in between? That is an amazing job, dude!

But you know what, guys? I challange everyone who says it took so long, to make a better war 2.0 from literally 0 faster than Totom did. If you can do it, you have my true admiration, but if you can't please be quiet, because you are just making Totom depressed, if he gets these kinds of responds.

(And yes, I'm aware of that everyone is fed up because of the #soon, I agree that the staff could be just a bit more honest in this situation.)

 

You said some true words there boy. Moreover Totom hasn't reached everything within 3 years, but 1 year.
He started coding pretty much one year ago. Orange announced it in 2013, but stopped working on it, after some time Sig and Mario took over, but had to concentrate on other projects, so we got Totom to code it.

Ok. You either need to get better grammar or stay away from serious discussions because I'm literally having to guess what you're saying. And don't give me that crap of "oh I gave up on grammar". You can't give up what you never had.

As for the topic at hand (for everyone else), I believe we have reached the point where Brawl has just become obsolete. It's general knowledge that it's very difficult to stay in power if you've been in power. The same was true for Mineplex.

They're deteriorating as well. Not because their servers are crap or their staff are crap or anything they do is crap, but because they've had their moment to shine and people wants what's new and exciting. They'll go where the players are and right now that's Hypixel. It's at the top of the minecraft servers list and they'll stay there until another server comes out with some cool gamemode, or some famous youtuber goes to their server and makes a video on it, or people just slowly shift over.

It's inevitable, but that's not to say that Brawl will remain "dead". Yes, it's difficult to remain in power if you're in power, but there's nothing to say that you can't regain power if you've lost it.

anyways... enough with the off topic stuff...

that is true. Hypixel constantly adds new items, cosmetics and new games. If you don't add any new games in awhile, the population of the server will slowly die off.....
