I really hope I can't find someone like that either. And although they have final say, they do not have the right to decide they're always right. Everyone makes mistakes, right?

The problem with that is that 1) Rhoske is the build manager, meaning he (should) be in charge of the build team, 2) There was no argument. It was a simple "hey, we don't trust him so we're going to demote him without asking you why you accepted him, and 3) Decisions like this do not happen in any business I've ever worked for. Ever. Higher ups typically value their staff's opinions, especially if they've given them authority over a specific sector. It'd be like them asking you to write up a doc stating which hg kits should be kept and which shouldn't be kept, then looking at it and saying "nope. We're going to do something different" without consulting you.

 

sorry Matt. I wanted to try to explain it in a frame of reference for you. By making it more personal, it's easier to compare and it avoids miscommunication.

 

Judging from previous times these "accidents" have happened, I don't have a lot of faith. I could always be wrong. I just wanted to create awareness about this to see what is currently being done to stop it from happening again, but I've yet to have gotten a response from a higher staff member who was involved, although they said they were working on making sure it wouldn't happen again.
