So I was going to make another tracker and this time I was going to use iron to make it. I decided I also wanted a 4 way design with 250 going up each arm with a 8 stack so aka 2000 block cover. Well I would overlap one part of the tracker if I did a 4 way so I decided to raise it up one block each time. I don't know if this is any similar to any other designs but I think it is pretty cool. What are you thoughts?

I've actually never seen a design like this, I've seen a design that does basically the same thing as this but a bit less efficient. That actually looks brilliant

Nice design! - I've never seen anything like that, although there is the regular stacked tracker which is like this but flattened - What makes this one better?

With the ./track command being more sensitive that has been previously, I think it makes it more efficient in the sense that you can move yourself up and down the tracker. Additionally to my understanding it conserves blocks because the trackers overlap.

No there tracker doesnt save blocks because it is not overlapping. The adavntage is that you dont need to build 300 long at the last arm. A normal stacked tracker is more easy for digging out and saves some iron blocks maybe you could use this idear only on the last block or so.

The reason that this tracker has to go up is because for the last arm it is a 250 length which means that the 500 arm would overlap and wouldn't track if I were to make it a flattened tracker because of the Iron block is a 50 block radius. Also, It is really easy to track on now instead of having to check what block you are on. But, overall it is all about preference.

IMO its a little easier but I could be wrong.

Oh shoot. I forgot to leave them on I'm sorry :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm not gonna lie, it looks great. However, the problem with this tracker design is that it's going to be easier to find if you ever get tracked. Having 8 layers means that it takes more space (y:8). A regular horizontal stacked tracker takes only 1 layer (y:1) and it's harder to find if you cover it all up like you have done.

Yeah I get that. But if you wanted to use iron for a 4 way tracker this is one of the only ways that you would be able to do it.

you could build block 1-7 normal and the 8 so 250 one you could build 1 up or down so you only have 2 layers used

another advantgae is that you can build iron and obby together if you dont have enought of each to finish one tracker

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking for this design but I have never seen it done before by anyone so I thought I should share.

IMO those are pretty complicated to make, especially if you are inexpierenced, I tried making one on the last map I played (1.8?) and it just gave me a massive headache. Stacked trackers provide the best mix between efficiency, and least complicated in terms of building, compared to other non-vanilla trackers. You will have to show me how you design your piston trackers if you ever decide to make a comeback.

imo piston trackers tke to long to opperate. when you have tracked someone with piston trackers you have already been narrowed by an stacked tracker and you didnt even noticed
