Ban LabyMod

In my experience using labymod, it hasn't boosted my range at all or any of the above. However many infected clients have been distributed with hacks within them, Staff across many servers are told that if they find a user using LabyMod in a SS (Screen Share) It is an automatic ban. I have been banned before using this client on another server simply because I had the client without knowing its additions it may have. I had no intent in hacking. However, since Brawl does not follow the SS protocol (to my knowledge), it will be hard for mods to find players using this client across their network. Now reading that you have found these mysterious files within the client, you may have found one that was infected. I am not saying you are wrong but now hearing a lot about this including from here, I think it is safe to say we should simply stick to forge.

actually forge tries to send the modlist packet to all servers in an attempt to determine whether it's a forge server or not; if the server acknowledges it, the client assumes it's a forge server

so it should be possible to write a packet handler for the modlist packet on a vanilla server and just not return an acknowledge packet

 

labymod isn't even a forge mod so it doesn't make the slightest difference in this case

 

the fun part is labymod doesn't even had the permissions of using these mods .... +1

 

Badlion's anticheat does work and doesn't ban innocent players "only" lol

 

Both of which don't really involve a whole lot of sword PvP compared to kitbrawl and CTF where labymod is very popular.

 

Raid too. I know quite a few plays who use labymod on Raid.

 

Yes, i just have those 2 examples, any server that has some sword PvP will have people using labymod.

 

If I recall, HCF servers, and practice pvp servers, people typically don't use LabyMod. And in some cases, some servers even ban for it since you can modify it. Lol Idk why people even use LabyMod imo, it's simple to install forge and stuff. But yeah lol usually it's not popular among larger servers :] so your statement is eh since a small portion of big practice servers populations use LabyMod.

 

On HCF servers, most people use mods that implement similar things to labymod, armour GUI, cps, key thing mods, potion mods etc.

 

Yeah but not LabyMod directly xd Idk why ppl use LabyMod instead of just installing mods yourself
