Changes that could be made to make HG enjoyable

    Hello HGers, may the odds be ever in your favor and stuff like that.

    Here is a rather radical change that I think could at least partly revive HG if and when they can get the dev from wars back on HG:

    Everyone should have sort of a Madman effect that starts applying 3 minutes after you have been close to someone else. However, the amount of damage you do and the vulnerability you get will scale on a 1:1 basis, so when you're fighting your opponent, it will feel the same, but if someone else comes and starts hitting on you, that's when you'll feel the effects. It should also scale with how many people are around you.

    So basically, if you are around one other person for 3 minutes, it should slowly start to make you half as strong, and twice as vulnerable.

    If you are around two other people, you should slowly start to become 1/3 as strong, and three times more vulnerable. And so on.

    This wouldn't necessarily prevent teaming, but it would even the playing field a lot.

    And no, you wouldn't lose this effect when walking away from your teammate. However, the effect would end immediately if you kill them.

    And the 3 minute timer wouldn't reset if you walk away, it will just freeze.

    I assume people aren't going to like this idea, but I'll post it anyway in case people are interested in something radical to revive their favorite Minecraft gamemode.

    I like it, unfortunately HG has no dev right now but I'm sure it will be added when HG gets a dev!

    Yeah I know, the dev is working on War 2.0. I'll be patient but only because I love the gamemode so much :smile:

    Only real problem I see with this is if you were in a long fight with somebody and the effects decided to kick in. Maybe make it so there' s still true damage to your team-mates in case you decide to backstab them. Anyways I like the idea.

    Yep, that's the point. The weakness and vulnerability will scale so that you will do the exact same damage to your "teammates".

    Yes, 3 minute long battles can be a problem, however I don't think it will be a huge problem, as those often just happen post-feast, when there's most likely going to be 1 on 1 fights most of the time. But maybe it will get people to hurry up too, in case there's someone lurking.
