Idea Raid Taxes

Really smart idea - where does that 15% go. Would be interesting to see how much would be in the pot after a month, its very hard to estimate with all the activity that goes on in shop. I'd like to see it go to something other than KOTHs though, since they have their prizes of their own.

As you say, I'd love to see what ideas people can come up with to where the money goes!

 

I think some sort of monthly competition to determine the winner of the pot would be fun. It should be capped because I believe the revenue of the shop tax exceeds what I would consider a fair prize. Reiterating as @Eil said, it should not be tangent of KOTH.

 

I'm sure a plugin to keep track of taxes would be easy to make. (1/15)a+(1/15)b+(1/15)c=d kind of stuff. I'd like to see it kept for an event. Also may encourage shop buying?

Maybe a lottery evry month or evry week for the pot. And you can think of something cool for the entry key to envourage ppl more playing something what si hard to collect

Interesting concept, but personally I feel it derives a bit from the vanilla feel and could either be a nice addition or just a lame not worth feature. I wanna see how this progresses though...

 

I like the idea, but I agree that it would take away the vanilla feel. Having a lottery is almost faction like xD

I like it, maybe 4 locations could be set from somewhere around the 512 blocks of spawn, similar to KOTH. You would have to surpass certain obstacles, etc to get a key.

I feel like we have stayed true to the vanilla theme for quite some time now. In my opinion, I think we should try branching out a bit, spice it up. If it doesn't work out, it can always be removed.

Instead of stating a message that contributes nothing to the dicussion, with messages like "I agree" you can simply rate their post with the "agree" rating.

 

I like the idea of the scavenger hunt. We could set up a random spawn location within a certain radius of spawn where the chest would appear with the amount of gold saved from the taxes. The only issue I would see would be with the actual coding of the location of the chest. We don't want to have mario changing the chest location every month, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to randomize it. I'd also like tp steer away from obstacles, because those could be manipulated and new ones would have to be built every month for the event.

 

I would prefer a LMS event every month or week rather than all of these parlour course things.

 

Fair enough point with the manipulation of the obstacles. A randomized coordinate drop wouldn't be bad.

I like it, stays true to Raid's PvP first motive. Would have to figure out how to work around teaming though.

 

In HG there is the Mini feast maybe something like that only in a bigger radius
