Boosters - Decrease the Price or Increase the Chance

    Lately I've seen boosters only being bought by a couple of the same people, the one's you could tell are just stealing their parents' credit cards to activate them. However, a lot of the others who have bought boosters, including myself, have done it once and never again. I'd like to buy more, but they are not worth it. Why?

    To be honest this nerf got me. 50% decrease for most of the diamond? At the time it was needed, because the boosters costed $3.50USD and there was 1 pretty much every few hours - ultimately ruining warz's rare economy. At the time I thought the nerf was great but now it's just made the boosters not worth it.

    Finding diamond is a hit and miss, as opposed to the pre-nerf guarantee of finding at least 1 piece per reset.

    1.) Increase the chance of finding diamond yet again. I would make the chance higher, but not as high as it was. Maybe:
    • Diamond Helmet
      • Before Nerf: 6x more common
      • After Nerf: 4x more common
    • Diamond Chestplate
      • Before Nerf: 10x more common
      • After Nerf: 7x more common
    • Diamond Leggings
      • Before Nerf: 7x more common
      • After Nerf: 5-6x more common
    • Diamond Boots
      • Before Nerf: 6x more common
      • After Nerf: 4x more common
    This isn't the biggest of changes but the issue with the current item pool is there is way too much of an increase for ammo and guns that just overkill and fill your inventory. I always stack my inventory with barb, food, bandages, ammo etc. before I get lucky and find a diamond piece I need. I think that change is one alternative to making boosters worth it.

    2.) My second idea is to not change the chances, but decrease the prices. I almost never see boosters activated on the weekdays simply because people don't think they are worth it. When someone asks in chat for someone else to buy a booster, it gets laughed at. The same few people buy boosters now: timmytickle, lionchi and pumbachi (all in the same team lmao) and maybe Spaceships and scientific. My whole team used to buy boosters weekly, if not twice every week until we slowly realized they weren't worth it.

    Perhaps decreasing the price from $5.00USD to maybe $4.00USD will help save money and earn someone a free booster compared to the old price when buying two sets of boosters. Maybe even $3.50USD, although that does seem a stretch I feel as though the amount of boosters bought would double each week. If it did, think of it like this.

    f(5) = 7(5)

    f(3.5) = 14(3.5)

    where x = 5.00 for function 1, and x = 3.50 for function 2, supposing that the amount bought doubles from a "booster-per-day in 1 week interval":

    7(5) + 0 = 35
    14(3.50) + 0 = 49

    Even making the coefficient less than double, say 10. Only 3 more boosters bought per week at the price of $3.50 if 7 were bought per week (1 each day) for $5.00USD to make the profit at a par of $35. That is not far-fetched at all. I think reducing the price of the boosters would open up for more players to buy them, as well as more money or the same money to be made by brawl.

    More money = more immediate profit + less long-term customers
    Less money = less immediate profit (maybe even equal) + more loyal customers and long-term, low-risk profit

    Have a sale on the boosters, and see for yourself. If not, increasing the chance of finding loot will also lure players into buying more boosters.

    I've supported and talked to you about this, and I believe that the boosters need to be fixed as far as the pricing. The rarity of the loot is fine, just not for the price paid.

    All jokes aside, I agree. Diamond needs to be a key incentive to buying the boosters for obvious reasons (everyone wants more diamond, amirite), and I think that bandages and bones should be stacked in chests instead of spawning separately in order to make more room.

    Agreed, I personally, like the chances, but for the price? No way. Atleast not right now.

    Bumping this thread. The topic can still be discussed and the booster problem has not been resolved. Lately, boosters have become so rarely seen by the server which is lessening potential revenue and WarZ's economy as of right now is in control of a handful of teams. When boosters first came out, a lot of teams had the chance to fight back.

    Also, if this could be moved to ideas that'd be great.
