warz and party have survived for this long without smods. You know that. They function well enough without one. Until people come along that can take up the position, I don't think Cuddled will be promoting anyone else.

 

Yes but look at what happened with WarZ.
We used to have proud 200+ players. Now we're down to around 20 exactly because of that.

Party has no high skillcap that's why people play it. People left WarZ because there were no changes what so ever.

 

I mean, we're still worrying about it too much. Regardless of what we think, Cuddled is the ultimate decider. If she doesn't think anyone is ready to pick up that rank, then no one will be promoted.

 

Not necessarily promoted. Moved is another option we have.

Or an Admin to at least take care of it if there is legit no one that can take care of it.

 

In fact, WarZ has not survived at all. It has all but died off completely. I have been playing this server for years, and have moderated it almost consistently for two years now. In those two years I have seen this server go from a shell of its old self, to now just the ground beneath that shell. WarZ needs an SMOD, or anyone in a position of great authority to manage it. WarZ is one of the servers where people consistently buy ranks, and support the server. Those supporters are gone now, and all we have left is Triple who decides to alt and buy a new account with a rank every two weeks.

Lastly, I know this is striking a bit of a harsh tone, but I'm not beating around the bush, I'm not censoring my opinion, and I'm not lying in order to come across as more favorable in the minds of the community. WarZ needs help, and as far as surviving, you can't survive when you're already dead.

 

Server would be a lot more alive than it is now if there was a screenshare protocol in place. Nobody's going to have a stash of hentai on their computer that they wouldn't want people to see, and either way this shouldn't justify the fact that they might be hacking.

3 people is reasonable for a team, so is 4. Having a 5+ man team is alright, but only if you're fighting a team that's the same size or bigger. Anything smaller is pathetic unless they're hacking.

So, from what I have gathered recently. This situation has nothing to do with what has happened with the smods, however it is more an issue of the fact the we have a lack of developers atm. Only having two developers for 9 servers, is not exactly going to work very well. We need to remember that Nom D3 and Totom are just here to help out, they are not required to do anything. There is only so much that Mario and Sig can do at one time. Unless our candidates for smod of WarZ and Party are going to become coders as well, having new smods appointments will not really do anything.
What do SMODs do? They have access to event commands, have access to IP checks, and are able to be in contact with the developers to make changes. What many are not understanding at this point is that a new smod would not solve anything other than perhaps having a few more lagfest events, that, looking at everyones feedback, appearently cause more harm than good. For the most part, the events that have been held have always gotten a lot of hate due to lag, and many have brought this up, but how will getting a new smod fix that? There's only so much 2 developers can do! They are working very hard simply to keep all 9 servers running, and fixing as many glitches as possible, while at the same time, getting degrees. New gamemodes and major updates will have to wait until some of the developers finish their final exams and are on break over the summer.
We should start coming up with ideas to fix the problems at hand, not blaming it on other people. Instead of begging for a new smod, we need to just come up with ideas that will help warz. An smod can't just come up with a whole bunch of random stuff and expect it to happen immediately. Even if a qualified person was there for warz manager, it would still take just as much time to implement the changes that are being asked for as it would be if there weren't any smods for warz.
What changes will an smod be able to do, without coding themselves, that they wouldn't be able to do as a mod?

No, it's the fact that WarZ is dead as a server and people didn't want to see that happen.

Adding 6000 devs to the server won't fix it, the interest isn't there anymore. We all started playing this when we were 11 or 12 or whatever, it's hard to keep wanting to play Minecraft guns when there are games that offer WAYY more fun with WAYY bigger varieties in communities.

Yeah, maybe WarZ itself could be sold to a bigger network, but the WarZ we all played and want to play doesn't exist anymore. You can't tell me that 10 active players on the server is WarZ. WarZ is 30+ on each server with minimal teams. No amount of coders or staff members is going to fix that.

The real people you should get angry at are the ones who managed WarZ when it was beginning to decline. Nobody changed the game up or tried to branch out and expand the playerbase to get more 11 year olds who were willing to play. Combining that the fact that big teams (dragonxPxP originally, luigi and them came after) came along which made it absolutely impossible for new players to enjoy is what stopped WarZ from rising back as it did in early 2014.

 

Hmm you seem to be quite firm with your opinions considering the fact that I don't recall seeing you on warz at all this year.... or the year before that...
So your solution is basically, "just give up"

You have been repeating this and flaming us for trying to help warz for 2 years now :V it got a little old 5,177 times ago.
Giving up is not an option for us, we will continue to try our hardest. I have proposed that we try something to fix it, why don't we try it instead of shooting it down simply because a couple people have lost hope?

Another thing that has been being said for 4 years... It always makes me laugh when people come on warz, say "omg you guys still play this!? its soooo dead" then proceed to buy a rank and come back. This probably happens several times a week :V

 

Peas came back less than 3 months and we were able to get a new zone 6 added to the new maps. The devs will work on things when they are pushed, but there needs to be an smod for that server to coordinate everthing, get consistent frequent events, and push forth new ideas.

 

As of right now, I honestly think we should assume that GreenPeas will be gone for a bit longer, so WarZ should get an SMod ASAP

 

And communicate with the players, forming that bridge between us and the devs.

 

When peas came back and the zone 6 was added warz got hyped up for a bit, and then people soon realized that was the peak for new things and the player count keeps going down. I would like to see more new stuff and that comes with a new smod. Without an smod no new things get added. @Sn4x5 is a great, active mod willing to step up. @Aboves can fill in snax's role when he gets promoted to moderator. And as I said earlier @TheTrogs would be a great fit as well. Brawl can get more people back on their game, but if they dont do something unique soon, Im predicting the game is dead within 4 months or less.
