What if he gets paid? What I saw from 2.0 at the testings, he deserves it.
But this is not even what I said. I said, if you are so impatient to still wait for an awesome game, then code it for yourselvs, but stop whining about it on the forums. This is the hundredth thread about this and it never leads to anything but whining about when it will finally come out. Just stop it, ok? It's annoying to read these post here.

2: He isn't getting paid. While this isn't the answer you asked for, it's the answer that's true.

1: That's actually exactly what you asked for. You asked why he wasn't coding it, and you got a legitimate response.
2: People complain because War 2.0 was announced in like 2012, and Brawl refuses to admit that it's gonna be a long time until it comes out.
3: Since it was announced, we've gotten entire new servers. That alone shows total lack of dedication to actually coding it.
4: Threads like these aren't going to get War 2.0 coded, but they let the devs know that people still want it. If the forums went a year without mention of War 2.0, priorities would shift to other projects.
5: You don't have to read it. See the thread's about War 2.0, roll your eyes, and click away.

2a: If i would have the knowledge for it (and since I might have it later, since I wanna be a programmer), I would code it for free. Ofc, only in freetime, as not a job, but since i do care about the server, I would do it. I really don't understand the fuzz about this "getting paid or not" stuff.

2b: I was there when it was announced. I don't remember to me complainig about this once.

3: I'm not familiar with the other servers and the history behind them, but I don't think those were coded by one developer alone. Also, as I would say from the testings, 2.0 looks like the hardest-to-code plugin/game to make. Btw, Totom did this alone, from scrap what Orange left behind, under like 1,5 years, with the real life (family, school,etc.) between. I say thats impressive.

4: Ok, I won't argue with that. What I would rather say is, show some respect to the devs, and try to motivate them instead of asking "WHY ISN'T IT DONE YET?!???!?!?!"

5: My bad for trying to be active on forums, since a time now, and trying to read around every new threads. (Also, sorry for taking this word-by-word, but this thread's name has no War 2.0 in it...)

 

Efficiency =/= efficacy

 

1a: Because the developers are being paid to code, thus making it a job of sorts. This argument could be used for anyone who complains about anything that they themselves can't do (e.g. complaining about politics, complaining about a teacher, etc.)

2a: I see now why there's confusion. USP meant that Zapcrusher isn't getting paid, not that whoever is developing war 2.0 isn't getting paid.

2b: Having also been there when it was announced, I can assure you that people have been complaining about it for a very long time.

3: It's been well over 1.5 years. It's been closer to four. While I agree that it's impressive, the problem is that it was hyped a ton before it was known that only one developer would be working on it.

1a: I told you to think about it. In politics, in teaching, you have even a minimun knowledge. I'm just saying that, do not hate on someone who does something about what he does, if you don't know/ don't do it (wow this sentence.)

3: Yes, 4 years since Orange started coding. And 1 since Totom toke it over, and he started it from the begining.

Basically efficacy is your ability to do something (the coders being able to do something) and efficiency is how well you do it and how much you get done in a certain amount of time (the coders being able to take <4 years to do it). Now, I don't mean to insult the coders (I'm pretty sure all of them weren't even here when 2.0 was originally promised) but it's just disappointing to see such a promise still not being delivered on.
