Buyable Land

I think it would be very cool if you could buy land, or rent monthly for about 1-10k. If you expand the world border some and made sections buyable/rentable I think it would open the server up to new players and kind of add new sorts of roleplay aspects. I think it would be cool to build your own house and decorate it, have a little farm and sell crops. This would also add a more player to player economy instead of players to server where you sell your drugs/emeralds/heads or whatever to a bot which basically goes nowhere. This would add realism and more roleplay opportunities. This might get new players to join, some players are more interested in roleplaying and this would offer roleplay allowing them to build their own houses, own farms or businesses' and etc. This would also offer more legal ways to earn money. Right now you can sell drugs, hunt people, sell bounties, mine, and chop wood, which means the majority of ways to earn money is illegal, to make this even you could add this and thus making it easier to earn money legally and equally out your ways of making money illegally and legally. Oh, that just makes it easier I guess then.

 

1. You could add maybe a shop, or maybe there could be clay mines or something for bricks and such get wild from the tree farms, quartz could be found in mines, glass could be found in sand deposits or something.

1A. I think the players should get yo build there house, but with guidelines such as that it must be nice, must be appropriate for the time period, maybe restrictions on some blocks etc.

2. I'd say carrots, potatoes, maybe animals such as clea out sheep's etc, you got the general idea.

2A. You would be able to trade, such as me advertising that I'm selling a stack of pork then someone wants it, they drop say 20 bucks and I give them their stack of pork.

3. It would offer new roles, such as farmers, for people who more enjoy role-playing it opens up new opportunities.

4. You might could make a rule saying no scamming or maybe /trade which requires you out the items your trading on your side and both must agree for it to work.

That is kind of the reason I came up with the idea, renting a house for 40k a week is just too overpriced, also me personally I like to build, and decorate, and farm do that kind of stuff, with the houses we already have you can out chest, it is just a storage unit practically. With this though you can build, farm, decorate, have people over, it just adds display and gives you more stuff to do. Sometimes you get bored just mining or processing drugs so you could go farm, you could decorate your home, or just chill.

 

Most people can't and one of the main reasons is another way to make money, to be able to customize your house, and have a place that is yours, not yours for a week. But thanks for your opinions too.

 

I like the idea, but I think that would ruin the whole purpose, the whole point is to make it reasonably priced, something a new player can do and enjoy, and if for rent maybe 1-10k monthly and maybe 50k purchase price. I really don't think it would do anything if you had to rent it or if it costed a ridiculous amount. But I do appreciate peoples ideas and opinions and thanks for support guys .

 

I think we would be fine with buying, not many people join anyways and if purchase price was 50k then chancs are that person will be somewhat active if they would take the time to earn 50k. also the plots don't have to be massive, just big enough to build a reasonable size home and a medium farming area.
