All your statements are true, but MC is still popular today as MC Brawls server has decreased the amount of players that come on and leave.

 

This is my personal point of view:

There is literally no comparison point in between Minecraft (SandBox Game) and Call of Duty or CS:GO (Both FPS games).

You don't choose to either buy a premium Minecraft account or a copy of COD. They are 2 completely different games.

If someone buys an mc account is because they are interested in playing something different, out of the typical FPS or MOBA games.

Counter Strike was more popular than Minecraft years ago, and people still played warz/war.

In other words, the new FPS games didn't kill WarZ/War.

 

I have to disagree on "Minecraft all together is simply dying." Theres other servers similair to WarZ, and they still have plently of players.

 

Minecraft isn't really dying, it's just players are moving on to stupid gamemodes like HCF and strictly PVP/Dueling based servers

I agree on people leaving for new games, but you also have to think about people leaving because there hasn't been any diversity in the War / WarZ gamemodes for years. Only thing we need to do is wait till Battle Royale and War 2.0 (which should already be out, God knows whats taking so long when the thread literally shows it's like 95% done) to be released, then amp up our advertising.

We can't blame the coders or anything, because now that Putty is owner, stuff is actually being done. Remember when Chap made that thread about all the new servers in the works for Brawl? Yeah, that was a joke. Chap wasn't a good Owner at all.

 

Minecraft isn't dying, just nobody wants/knows about playing this server. The old players don't have interest in it because it is boring, and there isn't really a source of new players.

 

Its dying because nobody wants to play on a server where they have to A. pay an extra 11$ just to play with their friends, and B. get hit offline/blinked by an alt every time they kill some1.

well you missed the fact that brawl isn't making an update on it neither is it listening to the community it has i had to make some ideas as admins sad to me but all got denied simple things you could make and aswell not fixing bugs for severall weeks ... but yeah you are 90% right i guess

No, we just need more 11 year olds to reap them of 3 or so years of their life. Like seriously, I'm not even kidding. We need more of the kids who watch skydoesminecraft and stuff to play the server and get interested and quit when they're old enough to play more mature games.

 

Well a lot of servers died after EULA. Brawl lost a lot of players from it.

 

Yep. No advertising whatsoever, old players simply got bored and left. Or they got older and actually developing a future for themselves rather than sit on here. There's only the same pool of players who quit and rejoin all in one pool that make up the warz playerbase.

 

IT'e been decreasing because the game is dying. Hypixel has like 10,000 less players than it was last year. There is some significant change within the gaming community.

 

Hypixel is one server. Mineplex, Hive, etc. still get a ton of players, INCLUDING Hypixel, which is NOWHERE NEAR to being dead. The game isn't dying, it's just losing a little popularity due to older players moving on. However, the population of Minecraft will probably rise once younger players start to find out about this game.

WarZ, or even Brawl itself, is dead due to lack of dedication and advertisement. Take a look at War 2.0. That update was announced in 2013, and every year somebody in the higher ups claimed they were going to get it out that year, and that they were working on it. Every year it became delayed more and more, INCLUDING this year. Recently Mario said that Totom left (don't know if that was sarcasm or not because he still has his rank), and we haven't had a test in months. There's absolutely ZERO word from the higher up staff team on updates, except from putty who said that the server's #1 priority is passing exams, which I get. But you don't take exams every day for several months, which is the amount of time this server has gone without a significant update (other than the WarZ boosters [which has been broken and I don't know if it's fixed yet but I doubt it]).

Party hasn't gotten ANY advertisement since Sky played it years ago, and hasn't gotten ANY update in a very long time. It just gets repetitive and even though that's Brawl's most popular gamemode at the moment, it's just not worth playing or buying anything for it. Half of the Party cosmetics don't even work, which is really disappointing considering you actually have to pay for it.

War has gotten repetitive as well, no updates whatsoever. Only interesting thing on it is War Fun Sundays, which is basically just an hour booster for XP and credits. The server's had the same spawn for 2 years I believe, which is boring as hell.

I don't play any of the McPvP gamemodes enough to have a decent opinion on it (other than Build). For Build, you guys would have a lot more players if you advertised the server.

Same with KitBrawl, advertise the server.

Raid, advertise the server.

WildWest, advertise the server.

Hardcore Games should just be removed due to the fact that it sits at a constant 0 playerbase. fpsHG had around 80-100 people playing it at all times, and yet it was removed for reasons unexplained.

Final point: If the higher ups work on one thing at a time, instead of starting one thing and then abandoning it for another, the server will get nowhere. Set a priority, and stay with it until the end like you did with WildWest. And look how successful that was until recently.

Just saying fpsHG was removed because they used a terribly coded public plugin to run it that broke constantly

Brittan's version was a whole lot better and probably had bugs too, but it was scrapped since he was fired as far as I know (stupid, since orange451 was fired and we still have War and WarZ)
