    Brawl didn't go from 1k+ players -> 200 because they didn't implement an SS protocol

    No, but WarZ did. That's the server that needs an SS protocol the most because of X-Ray, the hacked client that you're not able to prove without it.

    Who said anything about going through downloads, read Ekali's spoiler up top.

    Tell me why every screen share tool I've seen has a ' downloads' button? If you're not even being slightly invasive
    then you aren't going to find anything. People know how to hide there hacks, so in order to find hackers you gotta dig through computers.

    This isn't about screen share tools, this is about what the staff member views during a screen share, which he would be recording. Read Ekali's spoiler. If the staff member does anything other than what Ekali mentioned, he would be demoted.

    What was the point in this photo exactly?
    If you're questioning whether you can get banned for X-Ray without a screen share then just any WarZ staff member like @Sn4x5

    If the mod is only looking through minecraft 'versions' then what's the point of screensharing? There's a reason mods go through crazy amounts of folders and it's because people are good at hiding it

    Looking at an SS tool is a good indicator of what folders a mod from other servers go through when looking for hacks

    It's from a previous discussion on screen sharing. Unless x-ray is particularly different than a ghost client then SS protocol shouldn't be any more helpful in catching x-rayers than it is people using hidden clients.

    Judging from what you just told me you obviously didn't read all of Ekali's spoiler
    You'd be surprised the amount of people who are caught using X-Ray on WarZ by screen sharing.

    It can be as simple as checking the user's current client and making sure they aren't hacking. Plenty of people are false banned for having hacks that they use on other servers, and plenty of people hack on brawl. Having a screenshare protocol allows us at least some control over the players. Because I know for a fact that 1/2 of the current WarZ players xray, and many of them are open about hacking but they can't be caught for xray.

    I'm going to say it for the THIRD time. That protocol would be useless against people that hide their hacks. He says that it will be sufficient because the people on brawl arent good at hiding hacks. Which is not true, that's just dumb. Now once again, if you're only checking in game and minecraft version files what is the point?

    Did you read what I said? This is now the 4th time I'm saying it. 'It can be as simple' yes if the person doesn't hide there hacks which would be pretty dumb of them playing on a server that SS's. That was the main point I was trying to get across. It clearly didnt

    AGAIN. What is the point of only checking their in game minecraft and minecraft versions folder if they can just hide the hacks wherever?

    Incorrect if you're talking about Brawl in general. For WarZ SS may be the only way to get someone banned for Xray. However you can most definitely ban for Xray on Raid. Since you are talking about Brawl as a whole.

    I'm referring to WarZ when I talk about screenshare.

    "go to Options > Snooper Settings. Find the line where it says launched_version. If the name of the version launched isn't common, allowed mods, then ban them. If it is, open up .minecraft through the resourcepacks folder. This eliminates having to dig through people's files to find their secret launch location."

    And even if people do somehow hide it, screen sharing will get at least half the people who X-Ray banned off Brawl. There is a very small amount of people who actually go to those lengths to hide their hacks, especially because of the fact the server is close to dead in the first place.

    If I'm a serious player who's cheating to get an advantage on a server I know SS's then yes I'm going to hide it. Also, if the name of the version isn't common, allowed mods we're just gonna ban them? This is so damn flawed

    Yes. you are actually. There is a list of allowed mods on the server and if you're using a mod that's not on that list you're banned, it's common sense.

    And if screensharing doesn't get EVERYBODY banned for X-Raying that's fine, considering it'll get more than half the people banned for it. It's better than having the server suffer even more.

    And I've found it quit easy to have an opinion against the screen share protocol if you've never played WarZ. You seem to fall into that category.
