You think we can put enough effort into our YouTube to make it drive players? No, it will never happen.

Also, we already actively endorse Brawl content creators.

We have a media team. Why are they not keeping up with youtube like when the team was first created?

Probably because media creation is the most time absorbing task and doing it for free isn't worth it.

Why is the wiki team not keeping up with the wiki like when it was first created?

Not true, YouTube view revenue is very low atm because of the lack of ads. Lots of YouTubes would be willing to advertise a server for a decent amount of money.

Almost all of those channels are dying. I use to be subscribed to all of them when I was 12/13, compare their views now to what they use to get and they might as well be considered dead. A select few of them still have a solid view count though, like ssundee looking at his channel now. I'm not saying paying them to advertise would be a bad thing but it'd probably not be as profitable as some people imagine. I think paying a YouTuber with a solid viewcount, not subscriber count is our best bet. I think once War 2.0 is released we could get a YouTuber like ssundee to play imo. Idk I don't watch minecraft youtubers as much anymore, I'm sure many other people can agree.

It doesn't matter if they're dying as long as they aren't dead. 20k-50k viewers are a lot more than 200, which is Brawl's current playerbase (or close to it anyway).

I was referring to YouTubers with 1+ million subscribers when I said that Sky's channel is the only exception. I don't feel like SSundee would be as excited to play the server again as Sky would considering he played it in 2013, and SSundee only played War which has already died over time. I wasn't aware LDShadowLady played this server, so that's my bad on that one. Same with Chad.

And regarding the "sky's channel is dead" thing, he still gets over 50k views per video, which is still a lot of people. Sure, it might not be what it used to be, but if it brings people to the server that should be an obvious decision.

Capture the Flag's player count has dropped (sometimes CTF can have a server with 50/50 players on, but when I went on like yesterday, and the day before I only saw 25 people on, it may be my timezone yet I'm not 100% sure because CTF had a lot more players than now) Wild West is only active when events are on, the last time I seen Wild West have a good player count is when the cartel event was on.

What exactly are we going to find with that? Nodus?

An ex-JMod was screenshared and the admins went through literally EVERYTHING on his entire computer and nothing was found. This is despite using hacks which were incredibly, blatantly obvious to most people (and yes, this person has admitted to hacking after, and is now banned).

And, we need to be absolutely, completely 100% accurate with ghost clients. Staff have been able to detect ghost clients in the past. What if someone uses a client which doesn't effect the .minecraft folder in any visible way - we'd be unable to detect it using SS. This means that, even though there's about half a dozen staff members with incredible knowledge of ghost clients, we wouldn't be allowed to ban them for it because we wouldn't be able to find the client without doing very invasive and time-consuming crap.

Also, detecting X-Ray is not impossible without SS'ing. Its pretty damn tricky to do, but its certainly not impossible. Its easier than quite a lot of ghost client bans we've done.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didn't freeze DeKrah and screenshare him in the middle of a fight. Of course your not going to find anything if he has time to clear stuff off his computer. If you did an actaul freee and SS thing, which SS tools did you use? Do the admins know how to use process hacker and last activity viewer?

Yeah, you guys are doing a great job detecting those ghost clients!
You do a good job of banning every cheater, but you've gone a little to far with the banning cause we think your cheating. I'm considered a hacker, so I won't use me as an example, but look at James. He was able to make some good appeals, yay him! Not all players that are falsely banned are able to do so, and they stay banned. If your willing to ban legit players in order to get rid of all the hackers, that's your choice. I wouldn't do it.

    3 ways to ban cheaters:
AntiCheat - won't catch the ghost clients
Screenshares - won't catch the ghost clients
    Watching ppl - catches everyone

I'd say a good anticheat is brawl's best bet. But that costs a lot so were probably never gonna get one.

The only other way to get someone banned for X-Raying on WarZ is by that player recording himself hacking or, in other words, being a complete idiot. I've been told this by several staff members, higher ups, etc.

    Self-destructing clients? Code injecting clients?
This was a while ago (for gods sake James is a staff member now). We no longer have any issues with it, since the staff who ban for ghost clients generally know what they're doing, and those who don't will avoid ghost clients completely.
Clearly you've been told by staff members/higher-ups who don't know how to detect X-Raying. Its easier to detect than hacks like KB modifiers or very small reach increases.

Well, clearly Brawl isn't doing what you're inferring because over half of WarZ currently X-Rays, and nobody has gotten banned for it.

Don't really get what your saying here, but you can find a self destructed client in a screenshare. There isn't a single client out there that is 100% gone after self destructing. And anything that injects into mincraft is easy to find with a tool.
Are you suggesting that James was the last player to get falsely banned? The only reason he hasn't gotten banned recently is cause all the staff on kit know who he is. If he goes on an alt, I wont be suprised if he gets banned.

The thing that I wonder about is where do we draw the line between your a really good player and your using a ghost client?

A really good player can be better than a person using a ghost client on low settings. I remember months ago I beat 4v5 (banned from brawl) in a 1v1 on another server. He was using aim assist and low reach. If that 1v1 took place on brawl with a mod watching, I probably would've been the one getting banned. That's just an example. How can you draw a line between what looks like a cheater and a good player when that's possible?

Another example of someone that isn't cheating beating someone that is:

Maybe PixelDip. He has around 200k subs and he goes to my school. I'm like friends with his brother, so I can just ask him if he is interested for Mcparty and other game modes available. I can get in contact with him very easily

Forcing a screenshare protocol will only make more players leave. People want privacy. Cheating or not.
I will not play on a server that breaches my right to privacy to check if I have an "xray" or whatever when something like xray can be done just as easily with spamming the refresh chunk hotkey.

Media production takes a long time because of multiple reasons, and what Putty said is effective.

    1. Takes a long time to edit and create

    2. Its not worth it when you're not being paid

    3. Everything we will ever upload on the MCPVP channel will be **** on, no matter the content, this kills motivation for Media Team members because they think the hate will be because their production wasn't good enough, when in reality it's stubborn losers who can't accept the fact that things don't live forever.
