I'd say that your average person has about as much knowledge about being a politician or teaching well as they do coding. Especially since anyone who plays War will know what sort of game design features they want implemented.
Regardless do who's been coding what, it's been four full years since it was promised. The book in the War lobby even listed a release date (something like June 2013 or 2014).

 

...do I have to say anything to this?
1: yes, I was there when it was announced.
2: I'm pretty sure you are not the only one who skiped a large amount of time playing brawl...
3... no, I'm just not gonna say anything about the "before you were born" thing. Please think about what you are writing before posting it.

You might be right about the knowledge. I can only see the people around me in real life, it is not the same everywhere. This topic doesn't need an argument.
And I can agree that the STAFF could have done the advertising better. If they just say it will be out 4 years later, then we wouldn't be here arguing about this. (Altho even they couldn't possibly know the future and how long it would take to code, but still, #soon is just not an answer from the begining.)

To end it all here, I say the devs are not the ones to blame here. Blame the staff if you all really want to blame someone. But leave the devs out of it, and instead, try to motivate them, show them that you are interested. And not in the way like in the past few years...

Brawl, or MultiPlayer Servers was released in November, 2012 if I remember from yinscape correctly. Back then, I don't even think there was a forums until a little later. Also, McWar wasn't released in 2012 (correct me if I'm wrong somebody old), it was released early 2013.

 

I have pretty clear memories of playing War since before 2013, but it might have been a very similar gamemode on a different server.

 

This comes down to transparency and planning.

Transparency would be honestly stating the situation, be it lack of funding for a developer remember the server doesn't make nearly as much money as it used to, or lack of developers interested in this type of coding.

Planning would account for lack of budgeting by calling our funding, resource constraints, etc.

Seems like neither is fully baked at the moment.

The best project managers are Sith Lords.....the Death Star was way behind the project milestone dates and Darth Vader got it done on time and under budget.

Perhaps we need an "Evil" project manager....just saying.

Why can't we just have a little more paitience, I know it was announced a long time ago but like why can we not wait for a game to come out? It's just a game, why complain, it's Minecraft (rhyming not intended)

I myself, joined in mid-late 2014 on another account then stopped playing and started playing on my account in mid 2015 and never heard of this war 2.0 bullcrap (complaining) until late 2016 (about when i came back)

 

I think when the deves are done stressing about school, that can stress about war 2.0, my guess is that war 2.0 will come out this summer or later this year.

I think we shuld just wait for school to be over, then the devs can work more efficiantly.
