WarZ Reset, Seasons, Top 5 Plays - Discussion

I think this is a great idea. It would make things fresh in the WarZ community. Not having people be looted on servers forever and ever and letting others get a chance at it too. Another thing I would like to see is a way to get the "Whitenames" involved. I don't know how you would do that but they make up a big section of the community and deserve something in return.

 

I agree that resets frequently would be extremely helpful to the community and would help bring players back (like myself.) It gives something fresh to the server and gives us a reason to play. I feel that 3 months would work well, because it gives a few months for you to gain back what you had before the reset. An issue I see with this, could be the community complaining that they're losing everything they just worked for. Sure, resetting every few months would keep the game fresh for a little bit, but then it would get stale because it would just be the same thing over and over again. Which is where the next discussion comes into play.

With the additions to seasons, the reset every couple months would stay fresh longer than expected. Each season could provide, as you said, a new update and/or a new build. Do you think with the non-developer related updates, it should be a new map? Or just new builds incorporated into the already made map to keep things a bit more fresh.

I decided to respond to all these separate passages as one because it all has the same focus. Would this chat broadcast for the player of the season go something along the lines of this? "The last player of the season, Striker_Sly, had a whopping *insert information.* Think you can beat him? Give it a go and show what you can do!" Obviously not that exact thing, but something similar to it. And, would these player(s) of the season(s) receive something in congratulations for being the player of the season? Or just the broadcast & then some recognition for it? I know a lot of the MC-WarZ Community enjoy being able to compete for prizes & ranks and such.

Would the Top 5 Play Videos be like what used to be posted on Brawl's YouTube Page?

And what would the rewards / benefits be from winning this? We'd have to add some variety to keep it worth recording and uploading for.

Top Video of the Season would be extremely nice. I think it'd be cool to have 3 Top Videos chose from the staff members, and then have the community pick which one should be showcased for the whole season, up until the next season's top video comes out. We've done something similar to this in the past and it was extremely fun and cool seeing all the different types of showcases there were.

I extremely enjoy the part I bolded on this reply, and I think it would give players something to fight for, to be showcased across all of Brawl.

Onto the last part, I"m sure there's many people who would be very qualified to do this for Brawl. There's so many people who have good commentating voices and can make people laugh in it at the same time. I don't see anything wrong with the last part. I responded to the end of the final paragraph in my previous couple of paragraphs.

Each season should have something special, and the seasons should be like it is in real life. (Summer, Winter etc...)
They should be enabled by a command, which is controlled in a schedule database that works on date. That way it would not create any lag, and the plugin dont need to go thru a big ass loop that lasts for over a year.

Just save the value into a config like: " Season: 'SUMMER' " then check what the String season is equal too whenever doing something special for each season.

 

I agree that that would be a nice prize, but like you stated, it'd need to be something that would be best for Brawl. Maybe they'd just receive a month of either Global VIP, or a month of WarZ MVP, and they'd be allowed to choose what they got?

Top 3 Videos, I personally think, would add a higher level of competition. I know there was some speculation about the Top 3 Videos because of favoritism and being well known in the community on the last one, with Eso, Jakob, & CJ. Instead of just looking at the clip and saying "that was a nice clip" We should go in-depth thinking about the strategy (did he / she just rush it with no cares in the world? Or did he / she (more or less) plan it out to see the best way to attack would be. Something along those lines, instead of just looking at kills.

I'd like a Seasonally WarZ News Thread. I think it would keep the community that no longer play but stay on the forums updated, and possibly show that we're finally doing something to spice up WarZ, instead of the same thing over and over again. Possibly if they are adding what updates would be in store for the next season, keep it very little, so we'd have something to look forward to and speculate for the next season.
