The fact that you said this does worry me.

 

Although I dont know much about Brawls current situation, I'll speak for what I've seen. Comparing Brawl to what it was during the "Golden Era" is completely unrealistic. Although brawl did loose many members due to the rise of new servers, I believe that Brawl is gradually rising due to the returning players and new players alike. Saying Brawl is dying is a statement made without solid knowledge or evidence.

 

I agree with your message in that optimism is better than moping around waiting for the end. With that said, I don't think this thread is going to be very effective. You might be a staff member, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and just because you're a staff member and happy doesn't mean they have to be either. I think it's rather naive to assume everyone should be happy just because the staff are. They have no idea of whatever plans you have in store for the summer, just as I don't. If you do have plans, then that's great but there's no guarantee people are going to like them. I get you just want people to stop complaining about voicing these unhappy thoughts, but the fact of the matter is a simple thread like this won't stop them from doing that. The concerns I've just raised are probably going to keep that going for the the summer and long beyond. It's a nice idea, but really ineffective in changing the situation.
